Am I just cynical af or what, I feel like these people always knew. They do what they do becaus they want to rape kids. These people have everything they want and they're still miserable so they want to enslave people, same as it ever was until someone has the balls to tax them out of existence.
Everybody in power knew.

Castle Rock v. Gonzales is, no joke, my Roman Empire.

Once you learn the full details of this horrific case, you will never again be able to see policing as a force for safety or justice.

It will permanently alter your understanding of state violence, gender, and race in this country.
In 1999, a woman named Jessica Gonzales sought and obtained an order of protection against her physically abusive husband ("AH"), who had repeatedly threatened to kill her and their three children. The order included language specifically limiting when and where AH was allowed to see the children.

happy to share many other places to play games and read recipes that don't actively work to make genocide happen!

This beautiful piece by @mskellymhayes.bsky.social encapsulates the loving & fierce power of Chicago ❤️
My latest is a love letter to Chicago. "I see you stumbling through the stubborn, awkward rhythm of showing up, again and again. I see you fighting alongside people who sometimes frustrate and confuse you, and defending neighbors you may have never met, because you know they’re all your people."

There’s a young southern woman on tt doing an experiment: calling churches & asking if they can help her get baby formula, saying she can’t afford it. Of the 30+ she’s called, nearly every church has said no. The ones who said yes were:

Black Baptist Churches
A Mosque
A small Appalachian church

Nifty little data point here. Don’t chase the manosphere into hell. Give young men a positive masculinity to aspire to.
Republicans thought they had a permanent hold over young men. They didn't.

Spanberger wins men 18-29 by 14%, Sherrill by 10%, and Mamdani by a stunning 40%.

"How dare this young, brown, Muslim man contest the order of things? How dare he have the audacity to run for – and be in the lead to win – the highest office in the country’s largest, richest, city?"

Dr. Gowayed shares her happiness, hope, and fears after Mamdani won the NYC election. Read this.
Friends— here it is. Updated & expanded thanks to the space afforded to me in the @therumpus.net & the guidance of the brilliant @roxanegay.bsky.social’s edits. The win centers Muslims humanity — but what does that mean in a country that rejects that?

This was the target that the campaign has had. 1 million votes.
The last New York City mayoral candidate to secure over 1 million votes was John Lindsay in 1969.

Zohran Mamdani will be the seventh New York City mayor ever to receive more than 1 million votes.
OVER 1 MILLION VOTES.
