God this thread is exactly the hopeful emotional salve we all need to hear right now and also we need to be taking notes because it’s a great template for how we can successfully fight an ICE invasion when they come to our city.

The reason cults usually eschew doctors and any sort of traditional education is because doctors and education allow followers to think there is a source of truth beyond the cult leader, and cults can't have that.

Let’s be clear: Pritzker isn’t a savor, he’s not “the leader of the resistance.” There won’t be one. That’s us. He’s an elected doing his job when most aren’t, and doing it well. He’s not a leftist, he’s a liberal, but he’s putting himself on the line, and that’s worth a lot.
