I remember being so disappointed when he won the primary because he was a billionaire, but then he was so solid for our state when COVID hit right after he took office and he’s only continued to impress me since then.

As an Illinoisan, I’ve got to say that I am genuinely so proud to have Pritzker as our governor. He doesn’t lower himself to Trump’s level, he doesn’t abandon the trans community, he doesn’t shift to the center to appeal to some mythical moderate voter.

Let’s be clear: Pritzker isn’t a savor, he’s not “the leader of the resistance.” There won’t be one. That’s us. He’s an elected doing his job when most aren’t, and doing it well. He’s not a leftist, he’s a liberal, but he’s putting himself on the line, and that’s worth a lot.
