At its best, the idea of individual *rights* represents a common ancestor of modern liberalism and leftism. And everyone who reflexively curses individualism intuitively understands this. You cannot make rights claims without it. Trans rights makes no sense without it, for instance.

There is currently a shortage of daycare slots of about 128,000 in Massachusetts, so I am not sure 4000 facilities is enough here.

Disappointed to see Jon Stewart & co joke about masking in public. I do it for my medically fragile daughter (Batten Disease). People not masking properly led to her getting pneumonia, which led to her being on life support, which led to me getting price quotes on her cremation just in case.
