Today is the day to repost this meme about International Men's Day, one of the most unironically wholesome memes that has ever been made.

Shoutout to all my fellow champs, chiefs, and kings. ✊

It's frankly astounding to me that some of these dorks are so bubbled that they are 100% convinced that "racism" isn't a thing that exists, they're just being "realistic" in their feelings about minorities, and therefore the word "racist" is just a rude way to say "Republican" or "right-wing".
Weird how many racists like to self-identify themselves as racists.

Probably shouldn't have to say it, but this was in the year 2002.

Repost if you were alive when Oregon amended its constitution to remove its ban on the existence of Black people within its borders and Black ownership of land within the state, even if those Black ppl stayed out.

Of all the potential moderation policies a site needs to have, the violent rhetoric one is consistently the one that causes the most uproar, because people will almost never agree that two posts are equivalent if they are directed at two different targets, even if the words are identical.

Right. Hitler's DNA. Brace yourselves for a deluge of misinformation and bad science.

I'm in Australia, so do get in touch if you want some expert debunking.

The greatest trick rich and horrible people ever pulled is convincing us they were interesting.
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

If some guy is railing against "sanctuary cities" I can't be sure where he's coming from.

Is it because he's a thief upset that sanctuary city laws take away his ability to prey on vulnerable immigrants with impunity? Or is it because he's a rapist upset about that?

Hard to know which.

Interestingly the linked article frames this as Within Our Lifetime's spokesperson saying “There’s no ‘scourge of antisemitism’ in NYC. ... Mamdani shouldn’t be validating this framing.”

That's mild criticism, and kinda a far cry from "sold out the ... cause".
The pro-Palestine group Within Our Lifetime has already decided that Zohran Mamdani has sold out the pro-Palestine cause... by condemning swastikas drawn on a Jewish day school in Brooklyn. forward.com/culture/7822...
Mamdani's first statement on antisemitism as mayor-elect got some weird pushback
After someone spraypainted a swastika on a yeshiva, Zohran Mamdani condemned antisemitism. Somehow, this generated conspiracy theories.

"your passport says you're 5'7" but you were 1'8" when you were born so that's what we're listing" this is what that sounds like
I spit on the reputation of the U.S. Supreme Court, not that it can get much more degraded than it has already become by the repulsive actions of its disgusting GOP members.

You can hear the transphobic sneer in these words.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Was at the drugstore and noticed they make Tylenol PM now.

I hear it’s popular, but I don’t understand why anyone would buy this.

I want my headache fixed NOW, not in 3 quarters when it can get me on the roadmap.

Let the opposition flood the zone with weird, bigoted ads about trans folks and immigrants. We should be flooding the zone with candidates who live in those places and who can speak to the actual issues and not the manufactured ones.
The Democrats won several VA House seats where winning looked like a pipe dream going into the election. The Dems won these seats because they recruited candidates and actually campaigned. Important lesson for 26--the electorate is pissed--but you can only win when you run. Run everywhere!
Democrats contested all 100 Virginia House of Delegates races. Part of the party’s statewide success is due to the synergies between the legislative and statewide campaigns—even the losing ones. This is a big reason why Jay Jones won comfortably. This is a model the Dems should emulate everywhere

It’s going to look different in every place. It doesn’t have to be Mamdani. But a focus on kitchen table issues doesn’t mean just shouting “this other guy is gonna make your kitchen table issues worse!”

It means having a vision for a better future.

I really don’t understand why it’s so hard for certain people to understand that Mamdani is doing so well because he is advocating for more than “keep Trump from taking the few good and/or semi-decent things that remain” and is articulating a real vision for how to make New York better.

If this guy was in my circle of friends, we would be ragging on him being the wussiest wuss who ever did cry like a wittle crybaby for the REST OF TIME.
Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"I could smell the onions and mustard."

Mike Johnson: ‘My Christian Faith Is More About Not Jacking Off Than Feeding The Poor’
November 3, 2025 at 10:30 PM
It was, ultimately, the contrast between this (and many similar) passages and the actual behavior of many Christians that caused me to leave the faith. I figured, a God so ineffectual that the vast majority of his so-called worshippers ignored the main thrust of the holy text without being on...
I'm not a Christian, and haven't been one for a long time, but i've always found these words and what they're supposed to mean to be the fundamental core of Christianity, even over and above the Sermon on the Mount, and I truly don't understand people who miss this.

Watched Halloween (1978) tonight with @jdoern.bsky.social , as is tradition.

Somehow managed to break the blu-ray in some kind of unwatchable skips-huge-portions-of-the-murders way. I didn't even know that was POSSIBLE.
