I'd like to play a weird old guy in a movie!
The worst thing about having a post catch on is the squabbles among strangers that are then brought to your doorstep.
I said that because I don't know. You don't know either do you?

There walks the earth a dog named Skymall.
Josh Gondelman wrote a pep talk for our dog, Skymall! 😻
For this week's That's Marvelous newsletter I regrettably wrote a little bit about Bari Weiss (but also I happily wrote a little bit about dogs)! Read it here: www.thatsmarvelousnewsletter.com/163-60-minut...

I was wondering if this would get a mention!
A weird, strange, bizarre, baffling album.

It rules.

Though he has a PhD, The Professor, our foster dog, is just a little guy. He struggles climbing up on beds and couches. Lots of reaching, trying to swing his butt the right way, until you finally help him. It’s possible the struggle is for show and he simply likes being helped.

Tom Petty should be on American currency.

Heard my cousins talking about stranger things and describing a "demogorogon" so I got them super high and I'm showing them The Thing and the amount of screaming happening rn is possibly my greatest accomplishment

I maintain that the movie Hudson Hawk does not merely indulge in hack writing, gimmicks, tropes, and unnecessary pop culture references, but cogently satirizes those things.

I've seen the movie Spice World a couple dozen times, and I love it. It's hilarious, has an incredible cast of co-stars & cameos, the Girls themselves are in their element, and even the music works perfectly. Too bad it's out of print, but fortunately I have a well-used DVD.

I am a Chinese Democracy defender. I actually love the album. My only issue is calling it a Guns n Roses album. Some amazing guitar work on there by Bumblefoot and Richard Fortus.

Unfortunately I think the singles they’ve put out since Slash and Duff rejoined have been very, very meh.

Scarlett Johansson’s Tom Waits cover album recorded with members of TVOTR, YYYs, and David Bowie is good actually.

love this album, it has a band feel that Never Let Me Down badly lacked, feels like it was played by real people in rooms, melancholy atmosphere, a little noir treasure, kicks off with one of his most overlooked songs

What’s your boldest *unironic* I Actually Liked It take?

The album or film or book that most other fans disregard or dismiss or actively dislike? But not you!

Are you a Chinese Democracy defender?

For me?
