True story: In the early 2000s I witnessed a group of friends doing a Chorus Line-style dance to the Wreck in a strip club up north, and a couple of the pro dancers joined in.

I grew up thinking the bottom could fall out at any moment. Too many folks feel that way right now.
We need Senators that get it - and vote like they give a damn.

I've been making podcasts about mental health for nine years now and I still get just so excited to bring stories to you that matter. I talked Jill's ear off all weekend about this one and I'm so glad it's out there.
I'm very fortunate to get to make and share these things.

I thought this was going to be a dry, informational interview. It was anything but. It's urgent, heartbreaking, and fascinating. We're not an expressly political show but we are a show about what effects mental health and this qualifies. One of my favorite episodes in many years.
This week, we examine the dramatic cuts to SAMHSA, the gov't agency in charge of supporting addiction, suicide prevention, and mental health programs receiving federal funding. More than half the employees are gone since January. Huge news story and it's personal.

Next foster dog we get, I want to name it Neil Young because I like Neil Young. Regardless of dog gender. Or Joan Cusack, again boy or girl.
My family is aware of this idea and assures me my plans will be thwarted. Alas.

Kafka takes over on a Trial basis.
The Giants are firing coach Brian Daboll, sources say. A promising and frustrating season leads NYG to have an opening.
After another lead evaporated yesterday, Brian Daboll is out.
OC Mike Kafka is interim coach, per me and Mike Garafolo.

I don’t want the employees at my local Target to be required to smile at me. Mostly because I’ve been going there and seeing them for a long time and I think it might kill them.

When we got Teaho she was very cautious of all humans but now she's turned into the cutest leaner with the two of us. Strangers were still working on. It takes patience & respect but so worth it.

We’re eight days in with Goose and today, for the first time, she approached me to be petted. Some of our fosters love people right away, others aren’t immediately ready to trust. You’re getting there, Goosey. We’re patient. You set the pace.

I saw Bugonia last night. I was glad I went and the person I was with hated it. It starred Emma Stone and the talented, yet seemingly now-unavoidable Jesse Plemons.
