We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.

I hadn't heard this shit until now and finding out Platner was all in on "black people don't tip" makes way too much sense. And it's a huge red flag for anyone who works in hospitality because it's not true. Everyone who's worked behind the stick knows who undertips and it's not the black community

An excerpt from Helen Lewis’ article in the Atlantic: “Varian’s lawsuit also claimed that doctors encouraged her mother to approve the surgery by invoking the specter of suicide. As I wrote last year, the idea of youth gender medicine as “lifesaving”—for the prevention of suicide—has been key to overriding parents’ understandable concerns about these treatments. But this is another activist talking point that has begun to crumble. In front of the Supreme Court, the ACLU’s Chase Strangio conceded that there was no evidence to support the assertion that transition prevents suicide, because “completed suicide, thankfully and admittedly, is rare.” He argued that instead it reduced suicidal thoughts—a significant climbdown from the once-popular assertion that parents had to choose between “a dead son and a living daughter,” and vice versa. His concession helped expose this rhetoric as the emotional blackmail that it always was.”

Rashi posted: Somedays I think about a family friend, now a high-flying executive, who I've known since forever. He works out early mornings. Works late nights. Travels constantly. And is always available to take on more. When asked how he does it all, he smiled and said, "I'm just really disciplined." What he didn't mention was his wife - who has been in his life for over two decades. In a casual conversation, she mentioned how she handled the groceries, cooked most nights, kept track of birthdays and school forms, managed the cleaners, booked the dentist appointments, planned the holidays, and made sure there was always a clean shirt ready for Monday morning. It made me wonder how often we call something discipline or ambition or grit....when what we're really seeing is one person's success quietly scaffolded by another person's invisible labor, keeping the rest of life from falling apart!!

I hate making non-cat posts. I hate "discourse". But the number of comments I've seen degrading and dehumanizing sex workers because of that Melania trailer is appalling. That ghoulish woman will never see your "whore" jokes but they absolutely contribute to the stigma that gets sex workers killed.
