First time I've noticed the "Pappa" mug on the desk of Lisbeth's disgusting pig assailant. Not sure if that's from the book but what a perfect, awful detail.
Daniel Craig is 500x times hotter in DRAGON TATTOO than he is as James Bond, don't @ me.

I'm sad we never got the Fincher/Craig/Mara sequels, but apparently the other books in the trilogy are NOT Blomkvist and Lisbeth solving different mysteries together which severely limits my interest in the narrative being pursued there.

God I am such a sucker for stories about people who are going/have gone insane trying to solve unsolvable mysteries.

- Can't do it Sal.
you could watch THE GODFATHER 1000 times and still see new layers in Robert Duvall’s portrayal of Tom Hagen

in a lot of ways it’s his movie

When that Ted Sarandos had that quote about his editor son watching Lawrence of Arabia on his iPhone, my friend who went to Chapman film school at the same time posted that “we should have bullied this kid even more” 😭😭

What I really fucking love about Hot Fuzz is that it is a rare piece of artwork that unapologetically defends liberal modernity.

A representative of the impartial, uniform rule of law & depersonalized state beings justice to a lawless, backward community run by a wretched clique of local grandees.

Hot take: I just read WUTHERING HEIGHTS and Nelly is definitely evil.
Something I keep thinking about that makes me laugh is that Emerald Fennell tries to make a rare Wuthering Heights adaptation to foreground the class rot that is so crucial to the text but then makes Nelly the servant the second most evil person after Mr. Earnshaw. She just can’t help herself.
