Andrew Garfield was going to play the monster in FRANKENSTEIN, but pulled out and Jacob Elordi stepped in.

Elordi’s followup movie is WUTHERING HEIGHTS.

So he went from doing Garfield’s role… to playing Heathcliff…

Whole Foods AI stores were entirely Indians watching on video feeds and ringing you up. Waymos have live human support partially driving them. And the AI that has “Hollywood shaking in its boots” is…stock footage. With face replacement.

Yeah. We are sooooooo cooked, AI bros. Call me when it works.
From the above piece: “I hopped over to Seedance’s website and it only took 10 seconds to find green screen footage of two stuntmen performing the same fight choreography we see in the Cruise vs Pitt scene.” youtu.be/AKDWuFSy9DA

BLUE MOON: If NOUVELLE VAGUE was Linklater's meditation on the thrill of being a young artist discovering your voice and finding your people, BLUE MOON is the counterpoint, a sour hangover of pissed away potential, lost years, and loneliness as a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It's great, but it hurts.

And we should've got to vote on who she'd kill, AMERICAN IDOL style.
she should have been allowed to kill one guy per season

I think some people’s reluctance to engage with classic lit comes from the high school English class experience, which depends largely on what kind of teachers you got, but I’d argue the biggest problem with that system is that you just have so little life experience at that age

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS
fun question: what’s the maddest you’ve ever been leaving a movie theater? not necessarily worst movie you’ve seen, but the one that just pissed you off the most. mine is Batman v Superman

I really liked it! And for as fast and loose as Fennell plays with the text, I do think she’s wired into the dark heart of WUTHERING HEIGHTS in a way that more literal adaptations might fail to achieve.
Off to wuther some heights.

good news? GOOD news? GOoOo— no, just doesn’t sound natural, can’t be real.
BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide.

This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.

Gerry what the hell
‘PLANE 2’ has crashed.

Gerard Butler decided he didn’t want to move forward with the film just 2 weeks before production began.

Sorry to get radical but I don’t think it’s my job or yours to embrace, accept, understand - and certainly not to use - the thing being sold to us as AI. I don’t like any part of it, so I won’t. I’m missing out? Good, that’s what I want. You’re worried about me missing out? That’s fuckin weird, man.

The left tried for decades to pass green energy subsidies, passed them, the subsidies worked, and now literally the entire planet's electricity grid is going to convert to solar+battery. It just doesn't feel like "tech" because it mostly produces kinda boring blue collar jobs instead of billionaires
