I propose an international law that once you become personally responsible for the murder of 1,000 people, be it via direct violence or policy, you are declared a dragon and adventurers can form parties to quest against you.

I was friends with a lady who was a *voracious* Anne Rice fan when we went with a bunch of friends to see this on opening night, and mostly I remember her being pissed off about how they kept (supposedly) pronouncing Louis’s name wrong.
🎬 November 11, 1994: “Interview with the Vampire” was released in theaters nationwide. The feature film based on the Anne Rice novel of the same name was directed by Neil Jordan and starred Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst, tephen Rea, Antonio Banderas and Christian Slater.

I don’t know what it is with puppets (maybe because the puppets and their personalities are such literal extensions of their creators’ minds and bodies), but this is part of the reason the MST3K revival didn’t work, either.
maybe my least popular opinion is that the Muppets were amazing because of Jim Henson and the people he brought together, and that any attempts to make Muppets “content” these days would be better off trying to do something new.

Speaking of copper wiring, I made this as a goof two years ago. Still relevant and I got some fun replies.

I know the gimmick of “Who would think to combine 1001 Nights with American jazz?” was Menken & Ashman’s whole pitch for Aladdin - I love the idea of blowing that out to ridiculous proportions with a live show, and then putting a hat on top of a hat on top of a hat with Japanese burlesque.
the Aladdin musical was so good! The Arabian folk setting, American jazz music & dance style, and Japanese humour and mannerisms made for an interesting mash of cultures. All the magic effects kept making me wonder "how did they do that??"

There are going to be A LOT of misleading, vaguely-worded headlines — particularly from non-music publications — in the near future trying to drum up hysteria about the AI Music Takeover. Please try to not take them at their word. We're still a long way off from this actually being a thing.
I've been seeing this headline floating around. To be clear:

1) This is "No. 1" on a miniscule chart, The "Country Digital Song Sales" chart, as in people actually paying money to download country songs which is a tiny amount of people

2) The actual consumers are almost certainly fake

Joke of the day from Moscow: Russia tried to unveil its first humanoid AI robot, Aidol. Key word: tried. The robot collapsed during its debut, forcing organizers to cut the presentation short. Their rushed attempt to lift the prop only made things worse.

I thought it was cute that when Skyfall was mentioned on the last two episodes of @blankcheck.bsky.social (Llewyn Davis and Hail Ceasar), both special guests automatically started singing the Adele theme song.

you can't just bring back austin powers. the franchise wrote itself into a corner after he volunteered to stay behind forever in the shagadelic dimension to save foxxy and vanessa. they already brought him back once without explaining how he escaped from fembot island, the audience won't buy it
