Hey kids! I have been a professional screenplay reader for 14 years, as well as a repped pro writer myself, and I’d love to give you useful and encouraging notes on your features, pilots, and shorts! I love being a cheerleader for your work. DM for rates/details!
The opening of Pluribus is such a delightful homage to Contact, I love it

Due respect Senator, your eight colleagues are one of the real dangers. We do not need an adjustment. We do not need a vibe shift. We need a complete rebuilding of the Democratic Party.
But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.

I like the sentiment, and yes anyone can run like him, but he did also do a 15 day hunger strike in 2021 alongside a group of cab drivers he wasn’t even a part of. I think he is a pretty extraordinary person - but I think anyone can choose to be extraordinary.
The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

Just heard about a case in my city where a woman was assaulted by a man claiming to be a police officer and threatening to report her to ICE for deportation if she didn’t open her door. Luckily, family members convinced her to report it and he was caught.

Hell isn’t big enough.

Okay surely THIS third piece of coping toast will help

After Tuesday’s landslide this is like Lucy lets you kick the football and then shrugs enigmatically and says “but it doesn’t count anyway, this isn’t a real game.” And then takes millions of dollars from Blue Shield.
Agree.

Sen Hassan, asked what will happen if Republicans don't carry out the deal, "Well, shame on them."

This is not what people were mobilizing for on Oct 18.

I don’t know folks. We talk about getting the country back. But it can’t be given back to these people either.

Vote democratic socialist no matter who.

If Warren is against it, generally means it’s a terrible idea!
“I think it’s a terrible mistake,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren says of the deal. “People want us to stand and fight for health care, and that's what I believe.” (via Igor Bobic, HuffPo) x.com/igorbobic/st...

Really would like to know what people who think that preventing mass death and epidemics is “government overreach” believe government is FOR?? Parades??
Actually, the real problem in my humble opinion is that masks should be required in medical settings *year round* in *all* counties.

I mean... why should you be allowed to spread your germs to other people who are sick?

Genuinely impressive from a public health department, and depressing that it’s unusual.

Y’all’s lack of Covid rationality has made it a deadly risk for me to go to a mall, and daring though I am, I’m not gonna risk it to buy underwear.
If you lecture disabled people about shopping at amazon, I hope mice eat your plumbing.

Talarico intrigues me. This is a a very thoughtful response.
Axios tried to bust James Talarico for following adult content creators on Instagram and I'm genuinely impressed by his campaign's response

Hey remember when they told you to drop your mask so they could “see your smile?”

Well, now it’s smile or get fired.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

And you don’t even get a snickers bar at the end!
Sometimes I see people like 20 tweets deep into an argument with Grok. Like, what are you doing brother? You are trying to win an argument with a vending machine.

Inspired by Mamdani’s breakfast sandwich order I had an egg and jalapeño on homemade sourdough and can confirm, should be mayor.

Probably a good way to tell right now if the job you’re applying for is run by absolute dumbfucks is to ask if they’re using AI.
"The AI industry’s most important product at this moment is not a chatbot or a video generator; it’s the story the AI industry is telling about itself.... According to an MIT study, 95% of businesses that have deployed generative AI have gotten no value from it." www.theringer.com/2025/11/04/t...

Ok is there a reasonable explanation for Judge Jackson’s stay on SNAP? Because this seems way out of character on the surface.

OH NO
Um, @variety.com?

That’s…not what that means. 😳 variety.com/2025/music/n...

I just keep thinking “Elon Musk just got a trillion dollars”
New — While some states have received SNAP benefits for November and USDA is supposedly pushing through all federal payments soon, that doesn’t erase the psychological terror of the last few weeks.

I spoke with 20+ SNAP recipients in 16 states about preparing for a possible future with no food:
The voices of SNAP
Recipients have become political pawns. They explained, in their own words, what Trump withholding funds has been like.

These guys always project what they’d like to do with power. I doubt the idea of using his office to convert a single person to Islam has ever crossed Mamdani’s mind. But Tuberville sure would try it with whatever cross burning Christian sect he belongs to.
Tuberville: “We just saw what happened in NY. We lost NY. It will be completely Muslim in 3-4 years. That’s what they want. And it’s going to spread throughout the country.”
