Medicare Open Enrollment is here! Visit Medicare.gov to apply and enroll for health insurance coverage until December 7.
Trump's Venezuela paradox: it's simultaneously captured by criminal narco-terrorists *and* it's safe enough to send back law-abiding families.

Trump is too focused on corrupt oil profits to see the contradiction.

TPS holders are legal immigrants who work hard for a better life for their families.

We shouldn't waste taxpayer dollars rounding up law-abiding people who contribute to our communities when we could be finding real criminals.

I know firsthand that early detection saves lives.

We must reauthorize my EARLY Act to help women catch breast cancer early and fight back against this deadly disease.

Florida is on pace for the worst year of drownings on record.

It's unacceptable. We must reauthorize my Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act to eliminate against these preventable deaths.

Merry Christmas!

I wish you and your families a joyful holiday.

John "Footy" Kross was a South Florida icon, and a dear friend.

I was proud to honor his life and legacy on the House Floor.

Trump pretends to back women veterans but his admin stomps on the rights of the very ones who keep us free. This cruel policy will ban VA abortion access in all but extreme risks to the mother’s life, with no health, incest or rape exceptions. www.ms.now/news/abortio...
Department of Veterans Affairs quietly implements abortion ban
A VA spokesperson confirmed to MS NOW that the ban was in place following a Department of Justice memo issued last week.

Loved catching up with my friends at Hollybrook to share my fight in DC to protect Medicare and Social Security, and best of all, we did it over yummy holiday cookies. I’ll always work OT to protect their economic security.

We treasure our financial security so much more around the holidays. I shared with Oakmonte Village seniors how I fight non-stop to strengthen Medicare, Medicaid & Social Security to ensure they have those economic safeguards.

Overjoyed to join Miramar United Methodist Church and honor Pastor David Range's father, Morris. The love and concern congregants shared about Hurricane Melissa victims and those facing health & living cost pressures reminds me we’re all our brother's and sister's keepers.

So proud to join and help lift up the Broward NPHC Founder’s Day 29th celebration at the African American Research Library. A wonderful holiday evening with friends, built around service, empowerment and action with Broward County NPHC.

On the first night of Chanukah, Jews in Australia were met with violence.

Chanukah is a celebration of Jewish resilience. We must continue to come together to fight antisemitism and hate from any end of the political spectrum, and ensure it has no place in our society.

Health insurance premiums are set to skyrocket when ACA tax credits expire on December 31, but Mike Johnson sent House Republicans home early for the holidays without doing anything about it.

GOP leadership just doesn't care about lowering Americans' massive bills.
December 19, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Despite a discharge petition to force a vote to extend ACA tax credits that expire in weeks, Speaker Johnson sent House Republicans home for the holidays EARLY.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social came together this morning to demand a vote to stop premiums from skyrocketing for millions.

In Trump’s first term, I passed a provision into law to stop him from obstructing ICE detention center oversight. Now, the courts are ensuring it’s followed.

We’ll keep fighting for transparency, dignity and an end to family separations.
Federal Judge Temporarily Bars ICE From Restricting Congressional Oversight Visits
“Real-time, on-the-ground visits to immigration detention facilities help prevent abuses and ensure transparency,” the 12 House Democrats who sued ICE said.

More Trump lies, denial & blaming others for his inflationary, job-killing tariff policies. Millions may lose health coverage but his angry speech was all empty promises.

Trump made one thing crystal clear: He doesn’t get it. Democrats do, & we’ll keep working to solve this health & cost crisis.

I led Florida’s Congressional Democrats in a joint statement after voting for House resolutions to invoke the War Powers Act regarding Trump's actions in Venezuela.

Speaker Johnson must bring this to the floor immediately.

No more excuses.
Urgent update.

Our bipartisan petition to force a vote on a straightforward extension of the Affordable Care Act tax credits now has 218 signatures.

Mike Johnson should bring the bill to the floor immediately.

Today at 7PM ET, I'm holding a town hall to discuss what I was able to accomplish in 2025, and what I'll work on in the year ahead.

Due to a change in the House vote schedule, this event will be at 7PM rather than 6:30PM as originally planned.

Tonight, I held my 17th annual Chanukah celebration!

We celebrated the season of light and love, reflected on the year past and renewed our call to return the hostages and end antisemitism at home and abroad. Happy Chanukah!

TPS recipients are legal immigrants. Trump's attempts to criminalize law-abiding people & send them to unsafe conditions abroad hurt our economy & rip families apart.

Grateful to The National TPS Alliance for their partnership in defending Venezuelans, Haitians & more.

So glad to join The Preggo Organization for their 8th annual Community Baby Shower and Health Fair!

Their work to empower families with education, community resources and support is so important, and I'm proud to support them and promote maternal health with the Momnibus Act.

Republicans' new, last minute "solution" to the healthcare crisis they caused STILL raises costs and kicks millions of people off their coverage.

It's unacceptable, and they know it. We must extend the ACA tax credits.

It was moving to join the Chabad of Weston to celebrate the first night of Chanukah in my hometown. It was an honor to help light the first candle and join our community for a night that made coming together after the terrorist attack in Sydney all the more important.
