sort of remarkable that biblical literalism/apocalyptic christianity is so totally dominated by the right that there is basically no popular movement claiming that trump is the antichrist, despite fitting the prophecy better than anyone in history aside from maybe hitler

I don't think this take is accurate but the show definitely felt more political than it was simply because the right obsesses over the perceived wokeness of an event before it even happens. if you look at what conservatives are mad about, they're barely talking about the actual political messages.

richard epstein is maybe the best example of a law prof who passes himself off as a public intellectual but who doesn't even know anything about the area he teaches. i've heard from more than one nyu law alum that he routinely forgets whether he is teaching contracts or torts in the middle of class.
