This is a very strange rhetorical maneuver and it's basically identical to "I just want Ukrainians to stop dying" which more often than not translates into a political demand that the Ukrainians surrender territory and sovereignty.

not sure why Senate Dems would wait this long then give up when Republican inflicted pain will be the most clear to voters. I think Dems win the public relations war either way but they're missing a chance to run up the score.

personally I think supporting trump tariffs in a small border state that relies on canadian trade is probably his bigger problem. but I'm sure the median maine voter was also influenced by insults from california based progressive activists on a minor social media platform.
I mean, yes, misguided progressive criticism of Golden has driven him from office and now Republicans are going to win the seat. According to me, that’s bad.
