I think Europe needs to make it clear that any attempts by the US to seize Greenland (by force or other means) would result in immediate sanctions against Trump and US officials (barring them from entering or doing business in Europe) and suspension of all visa-free travel agreements for Americans.
I am very much not an expert, but this seems good?

Also it seems like the best message NATO leaders could send to deter Trump is “If you do this, we will kill you, specifically.” He doesn’t care about anything else. (Although I’m also not sure he fully believes he can die.)
European allies working on plan should US move on Greenland
Allies including France and Germany are working closely on a plan on how to respond should the United States act on its threat to take over Greenland, as Europe seeks to address U.S. President Donald ...

Judge doubts protections for "high-ranking government officials" for multiple reasons. It's unclear they ever had that status, and Musk "left government service."

Putting aside for a second that Abolish ICE is the compromise position...

What I need to know is what is the enforcement mechanism? Some of these are already Constitutional requirements that are being flouted.

So what is the enforcement mechanism? And does it have a Congressional supermajority?

Once again, if a multi-billionaire really cared about journalism, they would buy a paper, convert it into a non-profit, set up a foundation with a huge endowment to fund the paper, then loudly and publicly not seat themselves or their family on that foundation's board.

No state, municipal, or federal law enforcement agent shall be armed with weapons or supplied with equipment that is prohibited to the People.

This includes members of the Armed Forces deployed within the borders, absent a Declaration of War.

For myself, about a month, burning all my sick and vacation days. Can't really see myself needing more money than that, anyway.

For the right charity I'd consider going another month, but I'd probably have to shave my head to deal with the ick.
How long could you go without showering if you got paid $100k for each day you didn't?

New compromise position: ICE and CBP agents may keep their masks. Forever. Once donned they cannot be removed or altered for any reason, for the remainder of their lives. Not even to shower.

explain to me, very slowly, like the dimwitted child you must think I am, how body cameras or ICE cooperating with cops would have prevented any of the many, many, many law enforcement murders committed by both ICE and cops over the years which were already thoroughly documented on video
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

Remember the incident where DHS claimed officers shot a guy because he attacked them with a snow shovel?

Yeah. It didn't happen. They shot him through the door of his own home. And then arrested him. And then lied about it. Again.

And they almost shot some kids in the process.
They just blindly shot through the fucking door.

"Additional photographs show damage consistent with a bullet fragment lodged in a bedroom wall down the hallway — suggesting it traveled between a mattress and a portable crib in a room where several small children sleep."
"Photographic evidence from the shooting scene of a Venezuelan man by federal agents last month in Minneapolis supports the account of witnesses there – and appears to undercut the narrative provided by federal officials." www.startribune.com/ice-raids-mi...

See the cool thing about being a *species* is that passing on *your particular* genes is totally inconsequential compared to what you contribute to supporting your community.

Having kids is great if you want them.

But it's not individually important.
📢 “A huge amount of men between the age of 15 and 50 will not pass on their genes. They will effectively die out of the gene pool ... Should society intervene?” Steven Bartlett asked last year.

This is a federal agency out of control.
DHS said that the woman CBP shot in the chest in Portland was “involved” in a gang shooting.

Her ~involvement~ was that suspected gang members sexually assaulted and robbed her.
After Border Patrol shot two people in Portland, DHS claimed they were "vicious gang members" tied to a past shooting.

But records I obtained reveal a US prosecutor has since directly contradicted DHS, saying, "We're not suggesting he is a gang member." My dive into how DHS' claims have collapsed:
