Sheldon remind me when did Chuck Schumer fight united with the Democratic nominee for mayor of New York
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Rick Scott was CEO of a large, for-profit healthcare company called HCA. While Rick Scott was CEO, HCA stole so much money from Medicare they were fined $1.7 Billion.
Rick Scott told me his plan would be to take all of the remaining ACA subsidies and redistribute them to HSA accounts and people can then buy whatever insurance a state certifies. Basically a repeal/replace.
He denied when I asked wouldn’t that create two-tiered system where sick pay much more…

With respect, Schumer and his defectors are the ones who picked a fight with us. We took to the streets. We delivered landslide victories. And they betrayed us.

At best, they're standing on the sidelines. At worst, they're on the other side.

We can't win the bigger fight with knives in our backs.
But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.

"Eight Democrats side with Republicans to repeal the Affordable Care Act with no replacement. Minority Leader Schumer declares messaging victory."
The Senate has voted to reopen the government WITHOUT extending ACA subsidies.

The vote was 60-40 in favor, with 8 Dems joining Republicans in voting yes.

The House will vote on Wednesday, Johnson is having House members fly in to vote ASAP.😒

The thing is you can't really message on the exact GOP intransigence everyone knew would happen and which the Schumer Democrats actively chose to solicit.

Sorry. Even if you weren't in on the fix, Senator Murray, you have to deal with the fallout.
We're debating on the government funding package right now and every single Republican voted against a Democratic amendment to pass a clean, one-year extension of the ACA tax credits.

Republicans just don't care about your health care.

"No donations so long as Schumer is minority leader, sorry.

Can't support a party that immediately sells us out after we deliver "A HUGE ELECTION DAY WIN.""

God I want to see a million “Dems demanding new leadership” articles today, I want it to be a narrative Schumer can’t escape
Democrats are demanding new leadership after Schumer failed to stop a GOP-backed funding deal that doesn't guarantee continued health care subsidies. Progressives like Ro Khanna blasted him for giving in and warned premiums could soar as a result.
Democrats Call for New Leadership After Schumer Caves on “Terrible” GOP Deal
“If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing … what will you fight for?” said Ro Khanna.

Unless your Senator is calling for Schumer's immediate replacement you have to assume they were in favor of selling out their constituents, and will do so again.
🚨 Tim Kaine is saying the quiet part out loud - underscoring why anyone shouldn't be satisfied with any of the "no" statements or posts from Dem Senators.

If Dem Senators are truly disgusted with this save they should be calling on #SurrenderSchumer to step aside as the Leader immediately.

Amazing time in government when every single leader is weak.

Trump can't or won't control his deputies.

Neither Thune nor Schumer can manage their Senate caucuses.

Johnson has no control and Jeffries is hanging on by a thread.

And Justice Roberts is just along for the ride at this point.
They have the majority. They're going to vote no. And Fetterman will vote no with them. Honestly, there is nothing to whoa about here.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

Hey @durbin.senate.gov, this one's free:

"Yesterday I took a bad vote. I voted to re-open the government for the promise of a meaningless vote on healthcare subsidies. There was no deep strategy to it. No grand plan. It was a bad vote."

This will happen to THOUSANDS of people. It will also happen to people undergoing treatment for life-threatening non-chronic illnesses. It will happen to someone you know, I promise. Fuck these pathetic excuses for representatives.
Have a chronic illness that has been relatively under control for about 20 years. I'm going to lose insurance because the premium is going up to 1600/month. Talked to 2 case managers, both did research and said there will be no affordable options for me. I have no other options.
