Chotiner: so you want concentration camps, but where you don't have to see them

A: well, I mean, I guess, when you put it that way-

Chotiner: or at the very least, where no public criticism of the camps is allowed

A: the camp is near a school... so-

Chotiner: okay, got it

And after all that, the Pitt/Cruise AI fight scene appears to have been just digital BG and face replacement on multi-angle green screen reference videos of two real live human stuntees fighting.

In other words, like most AI hype — it was a con. www.shokunin.studio/blog/2026/2/...

I just did the dumbest thing of my entire career to prove a much more serious point.

I tricked ChatGPT and Google, and made them tell other users I’m a competitive hot-dog-eating world champion

People are using this trick on a massive scale to make AI tell you lies. I’ll explain how I did it

I directed a short film this weekend and it couldn’t have been a more positive experience. I’m so lucky to work with incredible actors and a great crew. It’s been a few years since I directed and it was creatively invigorating. Also, this film will be of interest to comics folks.

It’s okay Charli I didn’t want to put this record on a shelf with other records, or store it basically anywhere, or really do anything practical with it at all, it’s fine, this was a good idea, it’s fine

If I were one of the most talked-about and highly-regarded artisans in my chosen medium for a sustained period of over three decades, I would simply choose not to piss away my entire reputation in the span of like three months. But I guess I’m just built different

Difficult to overstate how completely obsessed I was with this album in my 20s. “No Fun/Push It” still the superior and correct form of both of those canonical songs, IMO

Every time this ridiculous item is posted on Bluesky people refer to it as a “baseball card” which makes an already funny object like fifty times funnier and let’s make sure to keep that going.

wealth concentration is already 200% as bad at is was in 2020. think about that
The pace at which US wealth concentration is rising is simply staggering

The deal was: they demagogue about “illegal aliens,” they militarize the border, they deport people who get reported by their bosses… but they don’t actually go looking for undocumented workers at farms, in kitchens, or on job sites. It was there to discipline labor, not create a shortage of it.
