I have to hand it to them, it's an incredible bit to publicly lose a game of chicken, admit that's what happened, and then spend the next day lecturing everyone about courage and tenacity

Just noticed on an old VHS that Robert Patrick was wearing a NIN shirt when he was 3D scanned for the T-1000. That would have been 1990, so he was proudly supporting his brother Richard Patrick, who was in a new band called Nine Inch Nails at the time.

It’s wild to suggest this is a circular firing squad or something when it’s millions of citizen Democrats who hate it versus 47 elected Democrats who conspired to surrender for nothing.

We’re not fighting “each other,” we’re fighting you. There’s only a few dozen of you, but you hold all the power.
But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.

Just watched the first PLURIBUS. Vince Gilligan is truly our finest auteur of “what am I gonna do about this corpse” logistics. One of his best motifs

The 30 Rock episode with “how do you do, fellow kids?” is closer to the release of Windows 98 than it is to today.
I made a “how do you do, fellow kids?” joke to someone in their mid 20s who, it turns out, was too young to have heard of that meme.

So “how do you do, fellow kids?” is now an example of “how do you do, fellow kids?”

Somehow Ben Shapiro arrives at the correct conclusion about Twitter before nearly all elected Democrats (even if he doesn't act on that conclusion)
Ben Shapiro tells Megyn Kelly that to avoid vile extremists like Nick Fuentes “the first thing people need to do is turn off X, which is poisoning brains and making people think not true things.” Yet, Shapiro continues to post there, often multiple times a day. youtu.be/tprng5mObQg?...

it doesn’t get any clearer that america’s betrothal to fossil fuels is about letting energy companies pick our pockets to prop up their obsolete industry
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

There's an old saying: "You give people the choice between a Republican and a Republican, and the Republican wins every time." You rarely see it proven so thunderingly right as it was last night.
The Democrats' big idea prior to the election was to create a "Moderate Party" ballot line to offset the "Conservative Party" ballot line all the NY Republicans are also listed on for elections. Looks like it worked great! Its Democratic founder lost by 8 points!

Yes. I’m still sitting on my account, so every now and again I pop in. And every single post they push is designed to make you feel angry or smug.
When you stop using X then open it back up after a while, you realize how obviously it’s designed to elevate vicious jerks who share Musk and Trump’s cruelest, dumbest beliefs. Harder to see when you’re addicted to it; blazingly apparent from the outside looking in.
