This week, I have seen exactly one house with a Trump flag, and the flag was faded and shredded and falling apart. Felt like a metaphor for something.

Trump vs. America: A list of grievances in the style of the Declaration of Independence.

It’s Trump or America
As 2025 comes to an end, we can review the wreckage of freedom under Donald Trump. At this point it’s clear: Support for Trump is enmity toward America. This isn’t a case of a president…

I need some positivity. Quote or reply with your favorite bike memory of 2025. It can be a great ride, an advocacy accomplishment, whatever. Let's celebrate bikes.

My personal favorite was finally doing a bikepacking ride up to Portland, Maine! It has me excited for bigger adventures in 2026.

YES. The Knives Out movies are like your favorite steakhouse that makes really good French fries and martinis. They’re good and enjoyable and you want to keep going back.
I have a lot of respect for the Knives Out movies just as an exercise in people making solid B+ level entertainment where everyone seems to be enjoying the experience without it needing it to win Oscar’s or make 3 billion dollars. It’s like going to a good steakhouse.

As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

Still unreported, should be investigated:

ICE shot Richard outside a mall. I visited mall security office. Guard said ICE and LAPD came in, used thumb drive to copy mall’s video footage, and THEN DELETED THE EVIDENCE from mall’s local drives. He showed me the missing timeline part saying “no data.”
Huge win for Richard Noticias LA, TikTok journalist shot by ICE. Criminal charges dismissed with prejudice, meaning can’t be refiled.

ICE did him DIRTY. Repeatedly. Inhumane treatment, basically medical torture.

Still in ICE custody on immigration case. They owe him unconditional release.

How far back depends on exactly how you reckon it, but it’s beyond serious dispute that Trump has raised taxes more than any president in decades.
Tariffs as a % of GDP are at the highest level in more than 100 years amidst Trump's trade war—even though tariff rates are still lower than in the 1930s, they have a much higher impact because trade volumes are much larger than in the past

The popular idea is that removing a president to replace him with a non-criminal president from his party, and usually elected on his ticket, is a coup.

Do governors/mayors get replaced by number 2s all the time? Yes. There's poli sci work on this, the power of the presidency blinds people.

Most understated, proportional, & well-earned take down: A man & a woman lawyer were on the same side in the Ohio Supreme Court. When the Chief Justice called the woman to the podium, the man stood up & said that they’d divide time but she’d go first. The Chief deadpanned, “That’s why I called her.”
What's an insult you'll never forget?
