GS: “Sen. Warner said you can’t argue drug trafficking charges demand invasion in one case while issuing a pardon in another…”🤔

@marcorubio: “Maduro was indicted.”

GS: “Hernandez was CONVICTED.”

RUBIO: “I wasn't involved in the pardon… I've got other things going on.” 🤷🏽‍♂️

A comment on the inclusion of machine gun charges in the Maduro indictment. I laughed and I do think it ridiculous that DOJ included it even while DOJ is suing DC to force it to accept semi-automatic weapons.

It's a traditional charge designed to up sentences.

Thanks for that... Neither Bush nor the USAID guy are in that list, though; looks like I'm going to need to go into the archives of my warehoused blog to find the latter.

To remind folks who are too old or too young to remember, Bush said that Iraq would pay for its own reconstruction with its oil after he overthrew Saddam. It didn't quite work out that way.
@maddow.bsky.social: “There are very few Americans right now who have any idea why the United States did this. If this was about drug trafficking then why did President Trump just pardon the former President of Honduras who was convicted of sending hundreds of tons of drugs into the US?”

Stephen Miller has not been jailed for those lies.

But two different judges ruled that Trump was lying abt Kilmar Abgrego.

And that’s just for starters.
This has been gearing up for Trump’s entire first year, at least back to when a FOIA release to @freedom.press showed the administration was unabashedly lying when it invoked the Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelans to El Salvador.

And the administration has yet to face a single consequence.

And there is no bottom with Schumer, either.
Asked about the possibility of impeachment, Schumer says "we hope that we can have support from our Republican colleagues to put a brake on this long before it gets that far"

I trust that the leaders in Japan and South Korea are moving quickly to make deals with China right now. Only a fool would rely on Trump to defend them.
