one of my favorite things is getting tricked into enjoying math or finding math, like, a "fun easy life hack." i have dyscalculia, or at least had it growing up, so i very much associate math with "difficult, dull slog that makes me feel stupid & humiliated and makes others think I'm lazy or obtuse"

Yeah I will say I spent a a lot of my life thinking I was being a sophisticated Marxist by condemning vulgar tendencies which saw particular capitalists and members of the ruling class as evil and the problem. No no, I would say, it is the system! Well, ok, maybe: but also they are evil turns out.

I'm worried that the broader public isn't really understanding the Epstein Files. The problem isn't that everyone in the files is a secret pedophile, it's that all the people are corresponding with him because they *don't care that he's a pedophile*. It's a story of elite impunity.
You can look at the Epstein files and conclude that only bad people have billions of dollars, but I think it’s also possible that having billions of dollars cauterizes your humanity
