God this is such a pointless nightmare
Some of my fellow SEIU members whine that their dues fund political propaganda, whereas I would like to see a lot more of it
Since 1989, nearly all net job growth in America has occurred under Democratic presidents — about 97% of the 52 million jobs created.

That’s not spin. That’s the data.

Man, every lawyer I know is a huge U2 fan. All they talk about is doing pro Bono work. Like, there’s a crisis going on, literally listen to another band.

For the record, this is satire. You can Google the guy and see his other LinkedIn posts and his comments on this one. I hate being a buzzkill,* but I don't love how easily people get taken in and outraged on Bluesky, the Good, Smarter Social Media Website™.

*Not really, I kind of love it, tbh.
This is blackout poetry to me

Honestly I think this is just an excuse to include AI stuff in elementary and college education, and workplace trainings. You’d want to do that out of laziness, cost cutting, etc
All the "you need to learn AI skills or you'll get left behind" things are patently nonsense. It's easy to use and only becomes easier to use over time. If there's skill it's in knowing what it does well and what is does poorly

They put a button labeled "make me mad" in my enclosure and every time I press it I get poked with a pin. I thought there might be a monthly limit or something but so far it seems like you get unlimited presses

If all these white collar jobs could be replaced by AI in 18 months, then many of them really ought to be replaceable by computer programs that exist today (like reminders from Outlook), so why aren’t they?
a lot of PM work is harassing people until they do their fucking jobs and sending invites. This sounds like AI could do it but I don't give a shit about ignoring the AI, I do care about the PM being disappointed I haven't sent the deliverable.

Very sick of upper middle class parents insisting they have no choice to be ruthless cutthroat monsters in the elementary schools because “[the] system forces them to compete for survival at every level”.

Californians have good muscle memory for this. No, I don’t love him, but who else am I going to vote for for governor? The guy who campaigned with a live bear and got pissed when people asked him about the bear?

It kind of gives away the “politics as posting” problem when signing a bill is meaningless, but hosting a podcast is the epitome of reality

There are so many reasons to oppose Gavin Newsom’s presidential candidacy but on Bluesky dot social all of them revolve around terror about what legislation he would pass, the thing the president cannot do

I feel like many AI-boosters refuse to contend with the fact that a lot of people viscerally, violently, yes perhaps even irrationally hate the technology

This, more or less, is the full encapsulation of social media:

Person A says something they wish was true.

Person B points out that it’s not.

Person A gets mad at Person B for ruining the vibe and calls them some largely gross epithet in the Chapo dialect.
