Even in less ridiculous situations, these “The Accused Denies the Allegations” headlines have always felt off to me. Of course you report the denial, but most people accused of anything deny it, at least at first, and making that the headline feels misleading if it’s based on their word alone.
I mean what else is this White House going to say, “You got us”?
