I feel like there’s a good chance Bovino will just refocus energy back to LA and rejoin the current goons for the completely cynical reason of the weather being nicer.

Just watched Bernie Sanders on Maddow and in response to whether Schumer should step down from leadership, his answer was "Look Schumer is part of the Dem Establishment and if he steps down who will replace him?"

I mean... Bernie, WTF???? Take a damn stand.

I mean, there's "out of touch" and then there's whatever the fuck this is:

"They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Trump is punishing people for being poor and hungry and we're gonna just keep letting that go? Who the fuck thinks he's gonna fund SNAP when the government is open again? The fucking courts told him he had to end even THAT wasn't good enough. He's suing to be allowed to starve people
I hope everyone who was insisting two days ago that Schumer was playing 10D chess is having a lovely Sunday

Asked about this by the Daily Beast on Friday, along with a request for an update on the president’s health given this week’s events, the White House declined to answer.”
“Over the past 48 hours alone, the Daily Beast has counted at least a dozen times when Trump has either confused names and dates, mixed up facts, or even appeared to drift off in public, prompting the obvious question: Is the president OK?” www.thedailybeast.com/12-reasons-w...

This shit makes me so angry. The reason why corporate plans require less money is because the company has leverage power to force a good rate with the insurance company. The idea that an individual could get a better deal than a collective is a lie.
I was at an event yesterday where Rand Paul spoke via video and talked about how great it was to send ACA money "directly to the people" so that they could work collectively to get better deals on health care.

It seems like Senate Democrats' strategy is:
1. have a vote
2. if/when Republicans vote against extending health insurance subsidies, then Democrats will blast them for it

The message they are sending is that this is the most they can do.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now
