The tariffs are hitting Italian-Americans particularly hard. I spent an hour this summer listening to relatives complain about not being able to get their preferred olive oils, many stores stopped selling the imported small band/large cup bras, and now this?

Republicans are absolutely counting on people not remembering or understanding how things worked prior to the ACA.

Personally, I want single payer. But the only way to keep the precious health insurance companies they love so much AND to cover pre-existing conditions is a mandate.

I don't quite know how to put this, but I do feel like there's a difference between people who are Republicans because they know everything they believe and want to do and agree with that, and want to hurt people, and people who are very badly informed and not all that swift.

It says so much that these appear to be the two biggest advertisers on Truth Social.

Although I can't tell if the first one is for boners or chlamydia. Maybe both?

ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

You never hear about anyone with especially good ideas hankering to debate anyone, because that's not how you spread good ideas. It's how you platform and legitimize bad ones.

This headline on Twitter/Grok is utterly concerning in its misinformation. They are trying EVERYTHING to convince people to stay home and confuse them about whether the election has happened, is happening, etc.

I own this dress and can confirm that it is unreasonably cute on.

I'm not an affiliate or anything, I just like telling people what to wear and have a saved search for Rails dresses that are cut like this, because I honestly want one in every possible pattern.

For Halloween, I'm actually *not* wearing makeup.

Also it is entirely possible that most people think I'm just very religious, but I still feel this is the best costume for today.

The fact that the Right is terrible at art is not the worst thing about them, but I certainly think that those who contribute nothing good or beautiful to the culture should not be the ones who get to define it or accuse others of taking it from them.
