I think about this a lot, because it is my routine experience and has been for almost ten years now.
One facet of it that is really disturbing is that you become the canvas onto which people project all their worst imaginings if you post something that hits a trigger.

ignore it. why do you big accounts always complain? it’s like a celebrity complaining they get too much attention in the street. it comes with the territory. just ignore or mute those accounts. it seems you might have a kind of para social relationship back.

I want people to really understand and grapple with how bad it is for victims and all of us to live in a system where sexual violence is not punished, but victims are punished more for coming forward. I need people to see it for what it is so that we can actually do something about it
