EXPLOOOOSIONS!
Oh excellent wine, too - some lovely whites from around the Bodensee.

But yes. Back to regularly scheduled programming ;D

Oh and great beer. Though I've never quite grasped how a group of peoples who could take beer to such heights would leave schnaps as it is... like they got to "hard alcohol!" And called it a day

Thank you sir. However my German still needs work, mostly because your grammar is satanic. Swiss German is easier for speaking, but the exams are still Hochdeutsch.

But! It's all worth it for stable life and AMAZING bread.

Die Ärtze are great!

I've been in the Germanosphere long enough to pick up a appreciation for them.

I know the doctor who ICE blocked from helping Renee Good. (I won’t identify him since he hasn’t chosen to identify himself.) I’m glad to see this part of ICE’s crime get more attention.
“Can I check a pulse?” yelled the bystander, standing across Portland Avenue from Renee Good’s lifeless body inside her crashed SUV, video footage of the exchange shows.

“No,” an agent replies. “Back up.”

“I’m a physician!”

“I don’t care.”
‘I’m a physician,’ he said. ‘Don’t care’ was the reply.
Bystander medical assistance was declined during the restraint-related death of George Floyd, and now after the shooting of Renee Good.

They'd be much worse if they were competent.

Small blessings, I know

This is a big no-no in armed combat.

It’s like dressing up as a doctor or a nurse and then shooting someone.

If this is proven accurate, it’s 100% a war crime.
Breaking NYT:

The Pentagon used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane in its first boat attack, according to officials briefed on the matter.

The laws of armed conflict forbid combatants from feigning civilian status.

That is a war crime called "perfidy."

Governor Walz needs to mobilize the National Guard because it is abundantly clear that ICE is acting with reckless abandon for safety and disrupting people’s lives.

Everything Trump claimed he needed the Guard for here in CA is what his goons are actually committing in MN.
Trump's thugs are going hog wild and tossing gas around in one of the busiest commercial districts in Minneapolis, just a mile or so from where I live. Complete insanity.

I know where you're at, and that I can't do anything meaningful to help, but you're heard, seen, and have at least one internet rando pulling for you.

Sending strength. Be well.

This is brutal 🤬

I am, in fact, triggered by someone being murdered by the Gestapo and our government lying about it and celebrating the murder. It’s time for decent people to decide where they stand — with the Gestapo and its supporters, the juvenile shitposting government, or with America.

As someone who teaches about perfidy, can confirm it’s a very bad law to break, since it ultimately encourages the targeting of civilian aircraft. Another classic example is putting troops or bombs in ambulances, which makes every ambulance a target. These lines were drawn for good reasons, Pete H.!

Must raise your flag before opening fire.

Hornblower and Captain Jack taught me that.
The cool thing about Pete Hegseth is he's going to break every single law on the books, no matter how old or obscure.

Famous among other things for being able to write for Peter Sellers, insulting Chuckles and then asking for a knighthood, and getting his preferred epitaph of "I told you I was ill" rejected by the church so he had it translated to Irish and used it anyway

Don't know if you know Spike, but he's probably the most influential English-language comedian ever. Wrote the Goon Show, inspired Monty Python and Douglas Adams. He was deeply PTSD after getting blown up a few times in the War. His war memoirs are worth reading- start as a comedy, end deeply sad
