A concept I've been meaning to float to make sense of what's happened to the US Constitution is an idea from the British constitutional tradition: "implied repeal."

It's useful because it helps us to understand that Article I, & much else of the US Constitution, has been implicitly repealed.

90% of elected Dems do not know how to fight, do not want to fight, did not run for office to fight, and are not smart enough or principled enough to fight. They entered office so they could fiddle with policy and feel important, they want to hide until it blows over, and will find excuses to do so.

Sorry I’m in the camp with let him have whatever appointees he wants bc whoever goes in is going to be there to wreck the place and there is no changing that. The old political pressure rules don’t apply to trump. We must save our energy to fight the actual policies. Educate the public on those.
