A much more local and stupid example of this: The videos blaming the new mayor for the MTA fare hike approved before he took office. Also, the fare hike was 10c.
Not sure how to summarize this one. Wrote about the podcaster-occupied government invading for content, how the algorithmic internet is governed by the logic of reaction videos, and how it has contributed to a very nihilistic illiterate politics and culture of performance for imagined audiences

It’s so rare: TNG, BoJack, Hannibal and Succession make my list. That’s averaging like ~2/decade that really manage to stick a landing.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

The plaque is several feet wide, several feet high. It was last seen in a basement workshop of a House office bldg next to a mini-frig, a scooter & set of small lockers.
