Just read this - a couple more points to make with Nexplanon especially getting a REMS slapped on it: a) it gives insurances an excuse to deny and reject claims in favor of other types of birth control and b) it limits the likelihood of a generic being created. And yall - these are VERY expensive.
The biggest barriers to reproductive healthcare often sound inane and boring, which helps them fly under the radar. Behind this snooze of a regulatory change is a long history of paternalism at the FDA, including and perhaps especially under Democratic administrations, in fact:

This is a great snapshot of what the organizing 'vibe' is like around here, especially if you have any history of organizing here & know lots of folks. There are some bigger questions about what people around here are going to want to maintain vs see implemented by the state later. But that's later.

What training manual in what agency instructs ICE agents that it's permissible to chase down a protestor and point a loaded gun at the top of their head while screaming at them?
