Every so often I remember that oil men are fracking giant swathes of Texas. Fracking is like salting the earth but worse.
They're doing it so that millions of Americans can drive a shitty car to a shitty job every day.
Anyway back to your regularly scheduled brain rot.

if you aren’t pivoting to pumping Medicare for All from here you’ve lost the script. the republicans are correct that it is insane to pay these corrupt corporations billions to then deny our claims, stop giving them our issues to lie about

Let's call @democrats.senate.gov bluff and DEMAND they remove @schumer.senate.gov as senate minority leader IMMEDIATELY. Either he coordinated making sure the votes came from Senators not up for reelection or he's lost control of his caucus.
Either way, he's a failure. He has to go.

I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.
I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

and i think we could often do a better job of making the pro-business case for bike and transit upgrades. the data is there but we forget to lead with it, only to find our projects so often get roadblocked or scaled back at the last minute by "business interests"
A complete, connected, comfortable network of protected bike-lanes is a climate mitigation strategy. It’s a healthy cities strategy. It’s a social equity strategy. It’s an affordability strategy. It’s an economic devt strategy. It’s a smart mobility & space saving strategy.
Etc. Etc. Etc.

We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

i get this sentiment, but worth thinking about how these are not systemic solutions. the problem is not actually people's age or length of time in office, the problem is that donor spending subverts the will of voters. primary them & stay laser focused on getting money out of politics
We need term limits and age limits for these useless fucking cunts.

On the way to do laundry one day, someone shouted from a car, "Weirdo!" I was so tickled off - but then tickled - that I asked a stranger in the laundromat parking lot to take a picture of my epic weirdness. I don't think of myself as having a style but, if pressed, I'll take weirdo.
