rally for impeachment, call about it, write letters about it, never shut about it, stand on the corner and wave signs
I’m reading a lot of big takes about what trump does next and what that means, and I’m pretty sure no one really can know those answers. if we sit with the anxiety of that uncertainty, the logical action is (and has been for 10 months) to demand our reps go on the offensive w/impeachment

People rightly complain on here about how all the media outlets have become right wing -- Bezos' Washington Post and Ellison's CBS News are the examples -- but I never see anyone with a plan to reverse it. Libs still seem squeamish about partisan media that's on their side?

The Justice Department is seeking body-worn camera footage, incident reports and other police records related to ICE protests in Portland.
Attorneys for US DOJ, Portland clash over police records related to ICE protests
Since 2012, the U.S. Department of Justice has helped Portland police rewrite some of its policies surrounding treatment of people experiencing behavioral health crises. Does that entitle it to recent police records?

I've watched thousands of videos from the Jan. 6 riot as part of NPR's reporting and archive project on that day.

Here are some of the lesser known videos that have really stuck with me.

i must note: this is some scary ass shit
White House Posts False Jan. 6 Narrative on Riot’s Anniversary. A new web page on the White House site blames the Capitol Police and Democrats for the pro-Trump mob riot, absolving the president of responsibility and calling participants “innocent.” www.nytimes.com/2026/01/06/u...

idk exactly how we do it, but we still have to work together, get creative, and go on offense. a great deal of our political pain (this hurts) is caused by our apathy and addiciton to reaction rather than action. all the good things we have now are because people worked hard together to create them

Burg Reigerstraat in Utrecht is a fietsstraat, a cycling street where bikes have priority and cars are considered guests. By keeping speeds low and designing the street to feel comfortable for riders of all ages, it creates a calmer, safer environment that encourages active travel.

yall it's not just about bikes. it's about the full range of small human-assist machines we could be living with in cities instead of giant cars. i really would love to see a US town or city full retrofit around micromobility in my lifetime. people just inherently love mini vehicles

Deep down America's allies know that only Americans can put a stop to the madness.

The fact that they can't or won't is why the damage to our partnerships will last far beyond this President.

The purpose of pushing impeachment articles through the House, via a fucking discharge petition if necessary, is to make Trump have to spend resources defending himself in the Senate.

And if new impeachment articles come through every two weeks, you force the motherfucker on defense.
IMO the argument is that you can make things into big enough deals that it matters. Khanna found Massey and found survivors and made the Epstein Files the gigantic story it should be. Only then did establishment Dems come along. You can, in fact, make things into big hairy deals if you do it right.
if you want the Senate to do something, Senate Republicans must do something.

People are dunking on this but I'm not really sure what plays Schumer has other than to try to peel off Rs.

Dems should be pushing aggressive legislation constantly, to impeach, to restrain grok and gpt, to undo DOGE, to formally censure Stephen Miller. they should be ceaselessly attacking specific cabinet members in the press. they should be rolling out a visionary project 2030 featuring high speed rail

Just a few things I'd like to say about this @hausfath.bsky.social piece.

The first is that every 10th of a degree of heating over 2C raises risks for multiple irreversible catastrophes MORE than every 10th of a degree of heating under 2C.

That's why the 2C target exists. It's not random.
