Tiny urban forests can help #rewild urban settings and help fight #climatechange. The brainchild of the Japanese botanist Miyawaki is taking his idea global.

We have so many solutions. Implement them. #ActOnClimate

When CA launched Prop 50, it was polling at 38%. And so, we did it anyway. Winning campaigns requires that your GOALS define your actions, recognizing opinion - including who agrees to vote - is malleable. In other words, be a thermostat, not a thermometer.

Here's a downstream effect of the backlash against the power of the 2018-2022 global movement for decarbonization—a backlash, I believe, that was driven largely by the realization among LIBERAL elites (eg Gates) that CDR was too expensive and difficult to offset the continued use of fossil fuels.
The Post (me and @kcrowebasspro.bsky.social) analyzed the social media posts and appearances of prominent politicians across the country.

We found that no one is talking about climate change anymore. In 2025, mentions are 60% lower than in 2024.

The most extraordinary part is how successfully these exceptionally high polluters have managed to convince relatively low emitters that climate action is aimed at making them poorer. Especially when climate inaction really is making them poorer while not affecting the Musk’s, Gates’s etc at all.

building (and selling) massive amounts of clean energy isn’t a climate solution unless you also phase out fossil fuels
China's formal submission of its new climate targets leaves out the commitment made in 2021 to gradually reduce coal consumption in 2026-30. It does reiterate the commitment to reduce carbon intensity, which is currently badly off track, but doesn't provide any progress update.

Think Trump is the only government official to break laws in order to force the development of more fossil fuels?

Well @governor.ny.gov is doing it too.
The law breaking is blatant. That’s why a state judge ordered her to comply with the law and issue regulations as she’s failed to do by early February.

Instead of following the law to help NYers, Hochul’s appealing the court order. (Adds several months of delay)

The law required a state agency to issue major regulations more than a year and a half ago, and it had no excuse not to, the court found.

So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

You should ignore any political analysis that fails to consider how the right wing has captured both legacy and social media to spread propaganda in lockstep with the Trump regime.

Good god, the New York Times DIDN'T fix it.

As a climate scientist just reminded me, temperature increase has NOT "curved downward over the past 10 years" as this revision claims.

In fact THE RATE OF INCREASE IN GLOBAL WARMING HAS GONE UP 😩
