I created and run the 38,000 strong MicromobilityNYC community, including organizing many of the marches for congestion pricing in NYC. We're doing culture shift and movement building.

My favorite Zohran moment of this campaign. And why, more generally, he won:
Zohran's win is a reordering of public priorities. No longer will the car be king in NYC, it's our time

Downtown Brooklyn is the real life version of that meme of a million people crammed into the sidewalks and a single driver lounging in a car

Zohran Mamdani won a historic victory yesterday in New York City's mayoral election, and 17 of our 18 endorsees won their races up and down the ballot, proving once again that safer streets and better public transit aren't just good policy – they're good politics! www.streetspac.org/2025_general...

This is my main take away from this election. Urbanism and Micromobility are a main consistency in NYC now. We've fully burst through to the mainstream and can deliver for candidates, like we did for Zohran. Politicians and the media might want to take note
The Times parsed the vote using similar categories and again found that the single most determinative factor economic-like factor in the election was "commute by transit" vs "commute by car." It edged out renters vs. homeowners. There's still outstanding data but I expect these trends will hold.

Astoria's Zohran watch party is so over packed that the backup bar (also a huge beer garden) is now full and virtually every bar in the neighborhood is reportedly filling fast

Democrats better hope Zohran wins this one, otherwise it's going to depress turnout for a whole generation. If the left can't even win after a historic campaign of this magnitude with this much participation and enthusiasm what is the point in even getting involved in politics in the future?

A bold closing surprise from the Republicans. Let's see the effect on older Democratic voters who might have actually voted Cuomo...

WOW. Reports of Vickie Paladino and her son (and white supremacist) Tommy attacking Ben Chou's volunteers are pouring in. This could get really ugly.

Got to admit, it's weird to have a sitting Council Member send out a fake newspaper full of defamatory lies (to fool elderly people in her district) using me personally as a scape goat
