I created and run the 39,000 strong MicromobilityNYC community. I organized many of the marches for congestion pricing in NYC and started the daylighting movement. Our community is doing culture shift and grassroots movement building.

My favorite Zohran moment of this campaign. And why, more generally, he won:
Huge News: Zohran just promised to finish McGuinness the second it's warm, and to do Universal Daylighting *BEFORE* people are killed

Bike lanes are supposed to be for all ages and abilities, yet we all know the sporadic and unprotected way they've been rolled out excludes so many from considering it.

With the ground temperature too cold to paint bus or bike lanes, the city should be out aggressively re-timing lights for Green Waves

This wont get anywhere near as much attention as Zohran of course, but is also hugely important if you care about the future of this city. So good to have a great Comptroller taking the reins from Lander.
Extremely grateful to be inaugurated as your 52nd comptroller. Time to get to work!

After he has a chance to settle in I want to hear a lot more from the new commissioner. I want to hear not just how we're going to be more efficient, but how the city plans to truly scale up the amount of work that needs to be done to transform our streets.
Here's how the NYC Department of Transportation will be different under Mayor Mamdani, according to new commissioner Mike Flynn.

A remarkable trend that will come as a shock to you if your only info about NYC is from this Fox News.

As door hits him, Eric Adams says he will move on to fighting antisemitism with cryptocurrency. Classic. Really going to miss this guy.

New York City is in a transition phase, and the results could be amazing...

After Zohran encouraged me to put together a plan at one of our events I showed him this and have been continually updating it since. With 2 days to go, here it is, all in one place.

The Miser Plan
It's time to return the streets of NYC to residents, prioritizing urban appropriate transportation methods.

Highways have no place in modern cities. It's time we replace the West Side Highway in Manhattan

Zohran takes office in 3 days with a mandate for change. Including changing our streets. Help him and help people see the possibilities
December 28, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Maybe in 2026 New Jersey can be a big boy state, stop the highway expansions, and start building pedestrian and micromobility crossings across the Hudson

I make a lot of dumb stuff in attempt to bring the fight for better NYC streets to everyone. This time of year I like to look back and recap all the crazy shit we forget through the year

Congestion Pricing's first year couldn't have been more successful. Never forget we had to fight city reps, the state, and the president for this.

The problem with Bluesky seems to me that people just don't subscribe to new people here very often. They make a list when they join and then rarely change it. Compared to my real platform on Reddit, subscriber numbers rarely ever move here. I just don't see how this is sustainable for a platform
December 23, 2025 at 9:29 PM
I don't think people realize how close we came to cars utterly destroying NYC like so many other American cities
December 23, 2025 at 4:14 PM
The "professional" advocacy groups are all out begging for money this time of year and heading off to vacation. I just want New Yorkers to realize those of us that live here have power. We can demand and get the things we want. We in the grassroots can make this city better

Trump had Adams kill the 34th st busway. I bet Zohran restarts it week 1.
December 22, 2025 at 2:23 PM
Zohran is going to be remaking school streets all over the city like Paris famously did. Hype train boarding now.

This greenway route the DOT has proposed is a love letter to NYC - [10 second clip]
December 20, 2025 at 6:58 PM
This proposed greenway is going to be such a banger
December 20, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Nobody would build a highway (that doesn't even carry trucks) on the Manhattan waterfront now, yet removing it seems unthinkable to people
December 19, 2025 at 3:27 PM
If these failed Robert Moses Projects existed today people would fight to justify them the same they do all the rest of our stupid, destructive car infrastructure...
December 18, 2025 at 5:18 PM
This insanity is caused ENTIRELY by abundance of private car parking and lack of loading zones (and lack of those because of lack of NYPD enforcement)
December 18, 2025 at 2:20 PM
Reminder, me and my reddit community keep a completely 'up to date at all times' map of the NYC bike lanes and greenways.
