"Fietser" (Dutch) 'feet-ser' Meaning: A Person Who Bikes For Transportation; Infrastructure, City Design, E-Cargo Bike Ambassador, Brasil 🇧🇷🔗, Train & Aviation Enjoyer

My wife and I, in our early 40s, going to dinner on one bike, because adding spice to life has become a priority.

She's reviewing the menu ahead of time. 🤳😉
The individual choice to swap a car for a bike is the easy part. The hard part is finding a city that prioritizes that freedom of choice through infrastructure.

Seems like getting your drivers license revoked after going 100 mph+ should be the norm, rather than one possible outcome of an experimental pilot program.

Watching the news tonight in Brazil and I'm filled with anxiety at how much talk there is about our rogue government threatening Colombia, Mexico, and Greenland.

Congress needs to act. The president and his people need to be removed immediately. This is insane.

How many people are overlooking this insane tidbit of information about the proceedings? We had to dig up a judge from the dark ages to handle the case?

We are not a serious country.
Dentist says I need a night guard and quoted me $800. Just made an appointment in Mexico in the “Dental Tourism Capital of the World”, my quote is $85. 🇲🇽

Back to reality. Once again I’m mildly horrified at how warm this winter has been, but I’m trying to embrace the silver lining. This bike is so fun to ride

Human scale cities and weather are a beautiful thing.
It's snowing and wonderful in Paris today! Snapped some good ones wandering to and from the grocery store.

In any other engineering profession a single incident like this would immediately spark a complete reboot of the whole design philosophy.

But not in traffic engineering. Just toss the posts into a dumpster and move on.
Less than a week after they were installed, many of the flex posts on the BU bridge have been destroyed by vehicles. Appreciate the thought but cyclists clearly need more protection at these intersections.

I know Americans have been pretty good at being trampled on so far, but at some point I feel like shit will hit the fan.

That'll be a $40 subscription.
Some Californians will now have to pay for first responder emergency services that have historically been free.

Starting this year, people in San Jose will have to pay $427 to the fire department for providing paramedic services.

This is what it looks like when a city is more comfortable sending bodies to the morgue than cars to the body shop.
