I will be riding this Saturday in remembrance of Alex Pretti if anyone in Northern Colorado Springs would like to join me. I’ll be cruising around our mixed use paths and plan on ending at Goatpatch. Right now I have no planned time.

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

First snowy ride to daycare on the Urban Arrow and I have a gear question for folks. My toes were frozen in my usual riding boots- would you all suggest heated socks, heated insoles, or just plain sheepskin insoles? I usually don’t bother when I snowboard, but those boots are way warmer

I’ve already started and finished two books in 2026! I decided I need to model what a love of ready actually looks like for my daughter, so I’ve committed to reading physical books around her. It’s so, so much more fun than doomscrolling.

I guess the upside to it being 65 the week of Christmas is I was able to get an hour of riding on the new bike in. I’d rather have snow though (let’s be honest I’d have studded tires and I’d be out anyway 🙃)

After getting a couple commutes under my belt, the biggest difference I’ve noticed between the RadRunner and the Urban Arrow is that the UA requires more from me physically. I thought I had just been using the pedal assist on the RR to compensate for lack of gearing, but this is clearly not the case

Our first ride to school in the new bike! This little lady is obsessed- I got back with it late last night (dad let her stay up lol) and she was very upset that we couldn’t ride all around the neighborhood, so this morning was very, very exciting! #urbanarrow
