Like the 14th Amendment was supposed to prevent anyone who tried to overthrow the US government from being able to run for election, the Emoluments Clause...
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t an act of Congress required to declare war on another country? Or is that just another thing that no longer matters to this country?

The US has toppled more governments since WW2 than any communist dictatorship.
1. Maduro is not a good guy by any stretch of the imagination.
2. But capturing him through an extra-legal action that violates international law undermines any US credibility with Russia in Ukraine and China with Taiwan.
3. We have a terrible history with topping leaders without a post-war plan.

Perhaps now people will stop wishcasting about the US military refusing illegal orders. That's not a thing that happens. The 100% compliance rate with using civilian boats for target practice was a bit of a tell.

Again, people REALLY need to account for the Miguel Noriega precedent, which is very similar to this one.
That's an important precedent not least bc HW got buy-in from Europe on that one (DOJ ultimately sent Noriega to France for prosecution after he was done in the US).

You don't repeal a court ruling. You either get it overturned, which is unlikely, or you propose campaign finance legislation that works within the ground set by Citizen's United.
