We found out yesterday that Trump’s ICE said the 4th amendment doesn’t exist. Ken Martin and the DNC haven’t said a word.

Where the hell is the Dem and media outrage over ICE saying the 4th amendment doesn’t exist?

Now that the White House is using AI to edit photos of their political opponents to create fascist propaganda I’m wondering if anyone could have seen this use of AI coming. Okay I’m hearing lots of people did and they were forced to watch corporations smother the masses with the technology anyways

Seriously, @people.com has been meeting the moment better than 90% of publications with direct reporting and crystal clear headlines.

This is a good way for the low-information voters who are usually detached from the news cycle to get turned around.

i think that the people claiming "the Court was always going to immunize Trump" are failing to distinguish that from "the Court would immunize Trump if failing to do so would leave the Republicans without a candidate in the 2024 election."

Elected Dems love saying it isn’t their job to fix things. Cowards.
MN's AG: “We will not save our country in a courtroom. ... ultimately, this country will be saved by the people of the United States. And so that — you protesting, you gathering evidence, you sharing it with us, you communicating with us — is action. It’s actually how we’re going to win.”

History is made by people who do things, not people who deliberate interminably over the risks of doing things, and that’s why Trump is making terrible history while every prominent Dem of our era will soon be forgotten as irrelevant trivia.

Recall that a district court wrote a lengthy and closely reasoned opinion blocking DOGE's access to sensitive SSA data after extensive briefing. The Fourth Circuit agreed. Then SCOTUS threw that out with no explanation in a two-page emergency order.
"Two members of Elon Musk’s DOGE team working at the Social Security Administration were secretly in touch with an advocacy group seeking to “overturn election results in certain states,” and one signed an agreement that may have involved using Social Security data to match state voter rolls..."
If anyone has any information on the identity of the "advocacy group tyring to overturn election results in certain states” and who were secretly in contact with DOGE, my Signal is DavidGilbert.01

Very plausible, and it's quite likely he'll do it, which is why it's essential that we ignore the pardons and pack the court
What's the bet that they've been fed a "don't worry he'll pardon us all" line?

Whatever is in the Epstein Files is so explosive that the leaders of the Department of Justice are openly breaking the law every day to keep us from seeing it. (Just a reminder amongst all the other stuff flying around.)

"Even if the policy is unconstitutional, as it seems to be, a person who is illegally searched probably can't sue ICE for violating their constitutional rights."

Cool, so our country, laws, and constitution are a fucking joke. Nice, thanks everybody. The legal system is so cool.

Joe Biden can't forgive a student loan but Trump's ICE can break into your home without a warrant and shoot you dead.

This country has completely failed.
Short answer: probably not, but it may be very difficult to do anything about it through the courts. read the whole thing.

Like. I’m pretty sure most of the people upset about what’s happening today and who think it’s contrary to the values of this nation do in fact know about Jim Crow and I’m not sure giving them a college seminar reading list on social injustice is the best use of our time right now
They aspire to stop whatever atrocity they personally object to without understanding that it isn't an isolated event. If they meant it then we wouldn't be doing the same things over and over. And the education on offer isn't fake, it does require more effort than parroting slogans
People who say this are clearly speaking aspirationally about a shared American creed they hold dear. “Have you heard of the Trail of Tears?” is not a very helpful response, because they probably have and the priority right now is moral opposition to fascism and not fake-educating each other.

US states should pass policy that clarifies this issue before it comes to a head. Otherwise gas utilities and their major investors will lobby to make people pay exit fees when they get off gas, potentially killing the economics of electrification.

I do not understand why Dems (or someone) are not broadcasting wall to wall montages of ICE thugs abusing our neighbors, abducting children, terrorizing US citizens, invading homes w no warrant, or murdering mothers. This should be a massive exercise in ISSUE SALIENCE driven by Dem elites.

This decision was made in 2024, because we didn’t get around to prosecuting him until years after his presidency ended, long after the initial anger over Jan. 6 had faded, even among many non-Republicans. This probably affected the Supreme Court’s decision!
once SCOTUS made the decision to slow walk it, it was over, because the later things went the more costly it would have been for Republicans for Trump to be prosecuted.
I think the problem is that there was never an appeals-proof case, and you could not leave the fate of the republic up to SCOTUS, so time was more important than people gave it credit for.

if republicans and a handful of democrats in congress are willing to authorize a full blown paramilitary guard, and we do nothing to stop them well, i want control of that guard. drag the heritage foundation board into guantanamo. deport jesse watters to CECOT if laws don’t matter, they don’t matter
