Yesterday's hearing with Jack Smith, Republicans didnt once try to challenge him on the merits of his findings. Their only argument was if Jack Smith spied on members or if he had a witness when he signed his oath. Eric Swalwell was right when he said they are lucky republicans aren't under oath.

You need to read this one. ICE detained two observers. The agent driving the vehicle started having seizures. The women asked to be uncuffed and gave him aid. After EMS arrived, the women were still taken to Whipple. www.startribune.com/detained-by-...
Detained by ICE, two women became first responders during agent’s seizure
The women say they guided agents through the emergency, later raising concerns about medical protocols, weapons safety and accountability.

Today was the first US general strike in 80 years.

Tens of thousands of people marched in Minneapolis to protest ICE. In absolutely frigid temps. It was -30F with wind chill.

Over 700 businesses closed in support.

THEY WILL NOT BREAK US

THEY CAN NOT BREAK US

THEY DIDN'T BRING ENOUGH GUYS

FOR EVERY ONE OF US THEY TAKE, ONE HUNDRED MORE TAKE TO THE STREETS

THERE WILL FOREVER BE MORE OF US THAN OF THEM

THEY STAND FOR NOTHING, WE STAND FOR EACH OTHER

THEY WILL REGRET COMING HERE

MINNEAPOLIS WILL WIN
fear.

they need to demonstrate that resistance is worse than useless, that it will be broken, and that their agents have impunity regardless of their actions.
So… what’s the strategic goal for the administration in Minnesota, exactly?

I’m not being cute, I don’t understand the theory of victory here and want someone to explain it to me.

My loose info so far is that the Minneapolis General Strike today had about 80 unions sign on, and it might be one of the biggest labor actions in decades depending on your definition

It's really going to be hard for the next few administrations to restore any modicum of trust within the DoJ after it has been so completely warped into a weapon wielded by the current admin.

They have a long way to go to get back to that first value they have on their website.

Congressional Republicans like what Donald Trump did on January 6th.

They applaud it. They congratulate DJT on his crimes.

They would condone it happening again. They are willing to watch the demise of the United States because of their fealty to one lawless man.

I think that's the hard thing to describe about this Minnesota thing. We're not only protesting (although that too). We're RESISTING.

I think that's why we keep talking about occupied Minneapolis. Because it's really impossible to imagine remaining neutral.

Short of getting caught orchestrating a coup or assassination, this is absolutely the core case of what you expel an ambassador for.
Bessent pushes Albertan independence from Canada: "Albertans are very independent people. There's a rumor they may have a referendum on whether they want to stay in Canada or not. People are talking. People want sovereignty. They want what the US has got."

Make no mistake, America is coming for Alberta. This requires a response at the federal, provincial, and community level. Federally, the government must summon the ambassador for an explanation and, absent a complete retraction and apology, expel him.

On his trip to MN yesterday, Vance said DHS wasn’t targeting people based on race.

Not only is that false, remember, this Admin took a case to SCOTUS specifically arguing they should be allowed to do that.

Trump’s SCOTUS ruled in their favor.

Don't be fooled by their lies.
