I'm trying out a new church, closer to home.

1) The building is huge and antique and beautifully maintained and updated. I've never seen such well-blended sprinkler pipes.

2) I'm the only one in this service with weird colored hair. But I got peace-be-with-youd like anyone else.

Portmanteau is a portmanteau of "Portland" and "manatee"

It refers to the 1907 Manatee War that destroyed Portland, twice, in one summer.

2) Testing out a new name: Susuwatari (soot sprite)

This week thousands of 3D whistles have been arriving- from KY, AL, TX, Greater MN, Chicago, and more.

Thank you. ❤️

We know that MSP is a center of the storm right now.

We will not forget the solidarity shown to us.

When the storm shifts off us, we’ll be sending whistles to the next city.

I'm reading through the quick start guide for my Kobo and have learned that they specifically made it to be repaired. They partnered with iFixit. They'll sell you the parts to DIY repair. The guides for diy repair appear to be free.

FOLKS NEED TO REALIZE HOW HUGE THIS IS

For the first time in modern Texas history, Dems have candidates running in every state and federal race on the 2026 ballot.

That includes all congressional seats, every state House and state Senate race, plus statewide judicial and State Board of Education.

One thing I would like in 2026 is to have more copy editing work coming in! I’m a developmental editor at heart but people don’t freelance that out as much and I’m good at CE as well. If you’re involved in freelance CE hiring for any presses besides S&S (who I already do work for) pls get in touch!

Tedious of me to repost this but pretty much every time I do, about four more new people read it, and it seems that at least one of them then tells me it's inspired them to buy the book. Plus the book got absolutely shat on by my ex-publisher.

Also, the book's fucking great.

So here we are again.
I've removed the paywall permanently from this piece, which is a chapter from my novel Villager, told entirely in the form of an online village message board. If you like it, you'll probably like the book. If you don't, you won't...
