Time for everyone paying attention to Minnesota's General Strike to read up on Aquatennial & Bloody Friday - Minneapolis
The last general strike in Minneapolis was in 1934.

It started in May, leading to a series of small battles between strikers and police. The two sides agreed to a contract on May 25.

Employers reneged in July, and police opened fire on protesters who flooded the streets. Two died, 67 were wounded.

Minnesota is a fun place, because last week it was "biking in a single layer" and "jogging in shorts and tshirts" weather (~55°F and sunny) and now it's this (blizzard).

I really appreciate these updates during weather events & am really glad they’ve extended them.
12:00 AM Final winter weather update: 39% of buses are delayed, with an average delay of about 9 minutes. There are currently no weather-related light rail delays. E Line (Sheridan Ave between 42nd St-44th St) and Route 71 (Hawthorne Hill) are currently on snow reroute. metrotransit.org/snow ~JC

ICE is still heavy in the burbs so when people are trying to tell you that a lot of them have left or there has been a significant drawback on agents - they can shut the fuck up. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

A few more people than the entire population of my hometown were abducted by the federal government
Even when ICE leaves we have over 4,000 neighbors abducted. Over 4,000 families torn apart and unknown if ever will be reunited.

ICE OUT. FUCK ICE.

Yes, this, please! Masking is such an easy way to protect yourself and others.

I even mask inside the common areas of my house if I'm sick or my roommate is sick, & so does my roommate. Neither one of us has had Covid and we're hoping to keep it that way.

Bonus: far far fewer colds etc!
Just mask please

If you forget once or twice it sucks but just put on a mask next time you go out

Shout-out to the MN third shift on Bluesky. There's a legit community of us who get active long after dark & after the Signal chats slow down. When we check the news of the day & let ourselves be moved because we've been too busy until now. I see you night owls (loons?) & I love our midnight crew!

I’m really worried for our neighbors outside the metro.

There are countless reasons that Minneapolis & St Paul have been able to push back so hard, but one core element is density.

It’s easier to push back when we have 100s or 1000s of neighbors living/working within a few blocks of each other.
The feds do not share how many agents are still in Minnesota or how many arrests are taking place, but anecdotal accounts show their activities moving from the Twin Cities (where they encountered strong opposition) to suburbs, exurbs & small towns. (3) www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
ICE drawdown? Indications point to steady enforcement activity outside the Twin Cities

Elections aren’t a deus ex machina, and politics are plenty problematic, but they shape so much of our organizing terrain.

Please vote. Please get comfortable with voting as harm reduction and space-making. This November’s elections will be here before we know it. Let’s make the most of that.

I try not to be this person too much, but watching the House committee deadlock on multiple good bills today I cannot tell you how frustrating it is when I hear folks dismiss elections.

A few hundred votes in 2-3 districts may be what decided whether Minnesotans get state rent and eviction relief.

Please read the entire thread from the beginning because it is the story of how we thought we were getting scammed and instead met Marie, Hero for the Ages.

But if you want to skip to the good part: help us buy Marie a ton of red cards, because we know she's gonna use them VERY WELL.

ICE is still here in Minnesota.

The only difference in the “drawdown” I am seeing is a shift from the Bovino actions that were done for confrontation and conflict for the cameras to more snatch and grabs that are no less awful, if more dispersed.

Until they are all home.

Until we are all safe.
Two female ICE agents popped the hood of their car and knocked on the door of a mechanic born in Mexico. He went out to help.
