Time for everyone paying attention to Minnesota's General Strike to read up on Aquatennial & Bloody Friday - Minneapolis
The last general strike in Minneapolis was in 1934.

It started in May, leading to a series of small battles between strikers and police. The two sides agreed to a contract on May 25.

Employers reneged in July, and police opened fire on protesters who flooded the streets. Two died, 67 were wounded.

This bills senate companion goes to committee *tomorrow* where it has a better chance to pass.

Let’s keep pushing.

Thanks to @repliishkozlowski.bsky.social for carrying this.

Elections *matter* let’s make sure we don’t have a tie in 2027.
DFL has the gavel for the first House housing committee meeting of the year. Rep. Liish Kozlowski introduced the first bill, which would allocate $50 million in one-time funding for emergency rent assistance (via FHPAP, if that means anything to you). Bill failed on a party line vote.

Hiding evidence and obstructing our investigation is unacceptable and indicates a total lack of confidence in their agents’ actions

The next 3-6 months will be the most challenging for youth gender affirming care.

There is good reason to be optimistic about what things look like after that, but we need to buckle up and do the work.

Be hard on systems, gentle on people.

There is good work happening.
In disheartening news, NYU Langone, one of New York's biggest hospitals, announced it will no longer administer gender-affirming care to minors. This is in direct opposition to the law set by the NY Attorney General.
