Hi. It's me. I'm here to gently ask if you've been giving yourself grace? Patience? Self-care?

You've got this. You are enough, and you deserve all the good things.

there's a priest who's job, twice a day, is to lift a floor stone in the nave and check the water level with a Holy Dipstick and communicate if the sluice needs adjusting

again, i am not exaggerating

THREAD. And a half. With bells on. 🙂☘️
I am calling upon the people of Ireland to immediately begin construction of a thread on this site about how you or someone you know was roasted for a fashion choice. We need it.

All roasts must have come from Irish people *only*. Please respect this important rule, it makes a difference.

Just remember #Minnesota #Minneapolis #StPaul friends, no matter what we will always have pictures of weather and discussions about storms (w pictures of pets in basements) to keep us company. Honestly, we have an amazing community just as full of light as the sky and I am so glad to be part of it.

I think people ignore how many Mamdani style candidates that have ran across the country and were very popular, but the establishment Democrats organized themselves to crush them. I could be wrong, but I think most progressive initiatives and politicians get blocked by Democrats nationwide.

These are slave catchers. Their model is directly from slave catching .

They are following the blueprint America BUILT for attacking racialized property
“They didn’t just walk in chasing one person, they went into multiple rooms asking and looking for teachers while children were present,” Ramirez said. “This is an agency that has gone rogue and it an agency that believes that as long as they can cover their face, they can get away with anything.”
Families "horrified" after daycare teacher pulled out of school by federal agents.
The incident happened in front of parents and children at Rayito de Sol in North Center, a parent said. They believe the employee, who cares for infants, is legally allowed to work in the United State...

This shit is big important. Muster the strength to tell these assholes what you think of their desire to further gut the power of the city council.
Tell the Charter Commission how you feel about that, either in writing, or in-person at their meeting on Dec. 3 at 4 PM. The legislative branch has an important role in confirming department heads, just like in the federal or state government.

Think this is worth reading if you're following the Minneapolis mayoral race. A good summation of what led us here.
Good morning. I woke up at 7AM and have had a cup and a half of coffee already.

A lot of people outside Minneapolis probably are wondering what's going. What's happened to the "Midwest Mamdani"?

And a lot of people who just learned about us this year are probably confused. It's okay!

They don't tell you that "election interference" might actually just be "stuff a bored sitcom writer came up with."

Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

Swing voters stay home when they’re offered a choice of Status Quo and Status Quo but Meaner.

Swing voters turn out when they’re offered a choice of progressive, forward, momentum.

There was a striking consistency to the elections across states that really fits just one possible explanation: people are mad at President Donald Trump and voting for the opposition party.

One part of the story is that the Democratic base turned out. But another part is that swing voters swung.
Why Democrats won the 2025 elections
Democrats romped in both high-profile and low-profile elections Tuesday, in what clearly seemed like a national trend.

Tonight vindicated a lot for me:

-That progressive policies win when we fight for them
-That people are fucking sick of Trump and everyone painted with the same brush
-That moving to St Paul has given me neighbors who demand and vote for better choices in governance (Minneapolis WHY???)
