LRT: THC has been a lifeline for a number of craft breweries, which is why the beer behemoths are working so hard to push this through congress.
In one fell swoop, they can crush their newest competitor AND the one they've been trying to get rid of for the last 25 years.

Craft brewing is responsible for over 11,000 Minnesota jobs. Thousands of these jobs are threatened by the federal ban on hemp-derived products.
While people are correct to point out the legality of THC is low on the list of priorities, it’s also important to remember how many jobs could be affected.

Update:
Because Holman airfield has international flights they must have a customs office.
The building project reported by the city is a replacement of an existing customs office.
I have seen no indication that this project is anything other than a replacement for a very old facility.

I reached out to federal delegation to get some answers on this project. It’s a surprise and a very unwelcome one.

From a St Paul Dept of Safety and Inspections email: construction permit for a new $11m CBP building construction permit at 670 Bayfield Street next to the downtown StP airport. Note location right near the runways. "Great" place to deport from! @mollycoleman.bsky.social @melvincarter.bsky.social

AIPAC sucks, supports genocide, and is a hub for Christian Zionists as much as anyone. *And* at the same time:
When you vaguepost like this about issues unrelated to Israel suggesting an org associated with Judaism is to blame, you are at least FLIRTING with antisemitic conspiracy theory.

You’re going to see a lot of headlines that reduce this down to Supreme Court, but Justice Jackson isn’t one of the partisans, so the specific who matters a lot here.
I don’t understand why she issued the stay, but there’s a logic here. There has to be.

#BREAKING: Justice Jackson has issued an "administrative" stay, temporarily pausing a district court order that would've required the USDA to continue using contingency funds to pay SNAP benefits.
The stay expires 48 hours after the First Circuit rules on USDA's request for a stay pending appeal.

Decent people are finding creative ways to fight the power.
Tonight was the inaugural ride of our new home buyout program. We connect with vendors too scared to be out, and we purchase from them at home. Tonight we bought 250 tamales, divided into 3 teams to deliver all over the city to folks on the street, Love Fridges, and a youth shelter.

Paul DePodesta going to the Rockies is going to be fascinating. He's going to be wildly under-resourced, but that's nothing new for him.
No matter what happens, great to have him back in baseball!

St. Paul started a food drive for SNAP recipients. Here’s how to donate.
There are four sites to drop off food. City officials ask that donors drop off items during normal hours. And, all items must be new, unopened shelf-stable food and hygiene products.

But let tonight be the final time I utter his name as we turn the page on the politics that abandons the many and answers only to the few.”

Tonight, we saw a stunning repudiation of the political status quo. We saw that giving people something to believe in instead of someone to hate can win. We saw hope we thought was gone.
But the texture on my stewed chicken came out weird, so impossible to say whether it was a good night.
