"We were promised a vote." Good job, now get shit-faced at the airport Centurion lounge.
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

My mother was caught by the Traffic Safety Camera Camera Program going 35.6 mph in a 25 mph street, around 47th Street South and Nicollet Avenue South. I own the Toyota Prius, so I got the warning notice. If she gets a real traffic ticket, I am donating the car to her so she doesn't ding my record.

“Good job, Conrad. You crushed it.” — Fast food manager upon learning that I enjoyed my meal and the shake was for dessert.

If only more basic tasks earned as much affirmation.

I confirmed with Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services that the Cast Vote Record will be posted on the website by the end of this week. I wanted to ask the questions: How many first choice Frey had Fateh as second choice, and vice versa? Also, what was the mayoral breakdown of certain City Council?

State Rep. Esther Agbaje isn't on Bluesky, and she doesn't post much on social media. But tonight was her Salsa Dance Lesson Fundraiser, and we all had a great time. It was fun to meet more people than had come in prior years! Thank you to Senate President Bobby Joe Champion for supporting!

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The Senate Democrats!

A bill that doesn’t address the health care crisis is a complete nonstarter.

If this gets through the Senate, I’m a NO.

I will not support this bill that completely fails to help Americans afford their health care.

Trump and R’s have more than doubled Americans’ health care premiums, and for 40 days they have refused to lift a finger to do a thing about it. In fact, they’ve made it worse by taking food from kids.

There is this Instagram ad for stainless steel pans. “Myth number two: stainless steel pans are hard to clean.“ And then the influencer washes the hand pan by hand with what looks like baking soda or something in the sink. That looks like it’s hard to clean to me! I like to put my pan in dishwasher.

You may be wondering, can the U.S. House seat its own members? That is true! But it requires a majority of the U.S. House. Which we don’t have, because Congresswoman Adelita Gijalva would be the final vote to release the Epstein files.
Republicans will do ANYTHING to bury the Epstein files.

Just look at what they’ve done to @adelitaforcongress.bsky.social. She won her congressional race 48 DAYS AGO, and she still hasn’t been sworn in because she would be the tie-breaking vote needed to release the Epstein files.
