I'm fairly robust, but if I had survived having the umbilical cord tied in a knot, cutting off my oxygen and blood supply during birth. . . strep throat woulda killed me real early. As it was, I remember having fevers so bad I hallucinated wildly at about four or five.

Ride in a bike lane and glance into every car that you pass and you'll see an extremely high percentage of people staring at their phones. It's terrible and frightening

Yesterday's close call on the bike seems to have messed me up more than I thought, mentally. Woke up thinking about it this morning, then had to drive to a class and HOOBOY was I on edge and angry and keyed up. (Good thing the class was kickboxing. I did feel better after some punchykicky)

Fuck. Literally could have died there. Good thing I'm paranoid on my bike. Signalled a left turn, moved into the left part of the lane in advance, driver decides to pass me *on the left.* I heard him in time to swerve away instead of turning into his path. Trying not to think too hard about it.

Another small annoyance of "hot desking" at work and not having anywhere to keep personal stuff in the building: getting hotspots on your feet partway through the afternoon because you have to wear your winter boots all day in the office (or walk around in socks). RTO5 (it's coming) is gonna be LIT

Hey #ottbike - heads up that apparently the Brookfield path between the train tracks and the traffic circle is not a plowing priority. It snowed how many days ago? Unplowed. Only rideable because people have tramped down a goat track in the snow.
