Eileen Higgins just FLIPPED Miami’s mayor’s office blue.

She’s the city’s first Democratic mayor since the 1990s—and she crushed the DeSantis/Trump-backed Emilio González.

Miami just made history. LFG.

then, the transphobes , feeling victorious at how many people they have made unhappy and despairing in the previous week, move on to anything else that has a spectrum and the possibility of more colours than they can conceive - such hateful people - they cannot understand anything that is not THEM

Not the least bit surprised with the meme game of Somalis this last week. Long ago, living in Minneapolis, I encountered a girl wearing hijab ...with punk, feminist, and atheist patches sewed on it.

That girl is more quintessentially American (positive sense) than anyone else on the planet.

I think one of the biggest mistakes we (the west) made was not spinning up Ukraine on tacair sooner.

After nearly 4 years of war, they would absolutely have a very capable conventional air capability if we devoted the energy early on.

My lesson learned: go big early in defense of Democracy.
