Anarchist "exuberant." Really into exploring the roots of things and expanding degrees of freedom. Incurable woke moralist. Floating metal sphere. “Radically uncool.”

Hey, I wrote a book.

Did The Science Wars Take Place?

Covers the history and philosophy of a fight in the 80s & 90s between some postmodernists and scientists, with an eye to anarchist interests and lasting political influences among the far-right.

The golden rice situation makes me *SO* sad.

It's estimated a THIRD of people worldwide are Vitamin A deficient, which can cause permanent damage to the eyes — in many cases full-on blindness.

We created a perfect solution to this problem, but oh no, it's "unnatural"
Same anti-science people who'd rather see people starve, than endorse GMOs. Because, hurr durr, Capitalism bad, science bad, therefore, hurr durr, golden rice bad and an unnatural abomination!

This is the most productive public debate between an ancom and an ancap in all of human history so far.

But of course I have to interject that I already solved property a decade ago, and they're both clearly just groping towards my evaluation.

The Heritage Foundation has released a 250-year roadmap to “save America.”

The document is a how-to guide for subjugating girls & young women: a detailed plan to push them out of college, funnel them into early marriage and motherhood, and then trap them there.

I don't know how much this is true, but it does mirror something I've regularly noted: the era when punks and activists were most intensely opposed to moral stands against rape or fascist entryism was also the era of peak policing of music tastes and consumption (and peak era of straight edge bros).
starting to feel like there's a direct relationship between the growing obsession with lifestyle hygeine (no drinking, no caffeine, no sex, obsessive working out and looksmaxxing) and the inability to meaningful moral stands on issues of actual import
Cafes across the U.S. are embracing the low- and no-caffeine lifestyle, with options that are a far cry from dusty tea bags and rewarmed decaf. nyti.ms/3XKlqoj

In a healthy info environment, these two things wouldn’t be interacting

Negative polarization is multi-directional and a lot of people have mirrored what is more or less antisemitic sentiment with philosemitic sentiment, aka "Israel would never do X thing that it demonstrably does time again and again because it isn't that stupid". That's just exceptionalism actually.

The thing is, Chomsky was always fervent in his liberalism and campism, which fit together snugly.

His paling with Epstein was *ideologically consistent.* It's inseparable from his constant defenses of holocaust deniers, hostility to antifa, and endless cover for dictators and atrocities.
Oh smart man genius intellectual Chomsky got hoodwinked into taking tons of money from Epstein & being his fanboy? So how smart are we supposed to take him for?
