Anarchist "exuberant." Really into exploring the roots of things and expanding degrees of freedom. Incurable woke moralist. Floating metal sphere. “Radically uncool.”

Hey, I wrote a book.

Did The Science Wars Take Place?

Covers the history and philosophy of a fight in the 80s & 90s between some postmodernists and scientists, with an eye to anarchist interests and lasting political influences among the far-right.

But of course my dad wasn't diagnosed back in his day because autism was invented by vaccines.

It's not like I didn't always know my parents were both .... unique... in how their brains worked, but it's amazing how much more grace I feel the moment the rage tantrum about being around too many people is recontextualized as a neurological architectural issue rather than entitled quirk.

As a child I was constantly annoyed at my dad's inability to tolerate crowds and most socializing, even just five other people on the same city block could make him freeze up and twitch. Only very recently did I finally recognize he was having autistic breakdowns and it changes my attitude entirely.

Those libertarians that didn't become outright nazis virtually all refused to take a stand, were nearly all fucking weaksauce on "bordertarians" etc and are utterly blood drenched.

Naw. It's politely underemphasized if anything. The sheer number of libertarians that happily abetted their ranks being recruited into the nazis. The fucking Mises Caucus? The nonstop widespread rejection of antifa?

A universal tale. Doesn’t matter the city, county, or state.
“The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office said it was not involved in Thursday’s arrests, nor in a similar incident at the building last week.”

Sheriffs were literally on scene pushing people out of the way to let these goons rush this kid outside. Just own your decision to collaborate.

Hah, yeah. For decades he's been public enemy #1 to disability/crip activists, and this eventually leaked out into the animal liberation side of the left, with folks just kinda bypassing direct reference to him.

Well Huemer has always been the exemplar of a far worse type of analytic philosopher: the reactionary who dismisses all complexities, exceptions, and deeper questions to defend common sense and intuitions.

One of every thousand American residents has been taken into custody by ICE in the last year.
A stunning detail the ICE chief shared in this hearing that was supposed to be a brag, except it isn't: ICE has arrested 379,000 people between Jan. 2025-Jan. 2026 -- but only 8,700 were suspected gang members or known suspected terrorists.

That's 2%! www.huffpost.com/entry/latest...

i think this more than anything is what miller wants. vast detention camps with all of the suffering and death that means.
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

I'm forever Team Nerd, but it's deathly embarrassing to watch nerds forever get sniped by "rules are the only thing that stop bullies, so we've got to cling to existing rules lest bullies eat everyone; society is complicated, so everything is a precious Chesterton's fence that must be preserved."

The one thing you've got to give to rationalists is they'll often be sufficiently earnest to post their astonishing ignorance in public view.

That said I still struggle to imagine someone too incurious to grasp "vast wealth centralization = power centralization."
