"I am a member of no organized party; I am a Democrat."
A classic saying and a reminder that our Party is NOT PERFECT!
But they align with my values, and they represent our best shot to fight Trump.
Continuing to hamstring them is NOT A SMART PLAY.
And I will fight you if you try.

Dems Reward the Hostage-Taker
Perhaps ending the shutdown was the responsible thing to do. But by caving, Democrats risk legitimizing Trump’s maximum-pain shutdown tactics.

And somehow you think Senate Democrats can be controlled.
Because it's his job to control the senate democrats, and he's clearly not capable of that
Also you'd have to be a moron to not realize that he orchestrated this

Yeah, 95% of the world's Jews support the existence of a Jewish State (aka, Zionism), a Jewish State that works day and night to protect the lives of Jewish people.
So when you're agains the Jewish State who's existence is about protecting Jewish people...guess what we think of you?

I don't hate Jewish people, & Jewish people aren't a monolith. There are Jewish people that speak out against Israel's actions as a government & the harm they are doing to others. There's no country in the world that I think should be exempt from criticism. Sorry that that pisses you off 🤷♀️

Yeah, it kinda is. If you're demanding your Tax dollars not support not only the only Jewish state in the world, but the only Democracy in the region, that says way more about you than you'd like it to, and all it involving the hatred of Jews.
Being critical of Israel is not antisemitism. If they want their country to prosper they should fund it themselves! I don't owe them that money just because lol

At least you got right into the antisemitism first thing.
Ahh yes, love the use of "punish" here, doing a lot of work. I'd actually say we're intent on holding them accountable. No, I don't want my tax dollars going to the war in Gaza and more importantly I don't want my tax dollars going to Israel, PERIOD.
I'm sorry, I have the feeling that y'alls hatred of Chuck Schumer has nothing to do with his Leadership style, or his age...but the fact that some of y'all are still looking for Democrats to punish over Gaza.
Because punishing Democrats over Gaza has worked out so well for us in the past.

So after ten months of this nightmare, the problem isn’t the White nationalist in the WH, its not even the GOP congress that Americans voted for, its not even the eight Senate Dems who shanked us last night…
Your problem is Chuck Schumer?

If you’ve got a Senate Democrat who is not calling for new leadership, they’re part of the problem.
We should no longer trust Senate Dems who decline to come out against the leadership that led us here. Until proven otherwise, we should assume they were in on the game to fool their own supporters.

I still have 10 states to go & it's taking longer than expected. Please bear with me.

Just in case anyone's wondering what I'm working on while all of this is playing out...
I'll have a MAJOR update to my "Premium Alignment" post soon (hopefully tomorrow) which MAY be excellent news for a lot of ACA enrollees (not so much in Louisiana though, I'm afraid)

UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.
