Anarchist "exuberant." Really into exploring the roots of things and expanding degrees of freedom. Incurable woke moralist. Floating metal sphere. “Radically uncool.”

He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

Also like there's almost zero real criticism of eugenics.

It's 2025, surely you understand that extremely weak tepid criticisms of fascism that are notably lacking huge expanses of critique and go "but it is sexy and probably right" are in many ways WORSE than just outright praising fascism.

Again, it's EXTREMELY average liberal centrist white dudes in the 60s. "Fascism is technically bad, and we're technically above it, but isn't it so interesting and beguiling and laudatory and more of a tragedy that we can't do it." In between the insane patriarchy they're poetic about Khan.

Look, there's no disagreement that the episode overall says "Khan bad; eugenics bad" but it's ASTOUNDING how weakly/disinterestedly it does that. I never watched TOS for years and simply knew how the rest of the shows/movie treated him, Space Seed is JAW-DROPPINGLY 60s-style soft on fascism.

If I’m going to have my head blown off by some Family Guy watching Lunchables eating divorced 24 year old with an outstanding warrant for sports betting app debts, the gun should at least be vertical

He spends a bunch of Space Seed creaming himself over how cool Khan and his fellow tyrants were and how eugenics is promising, and then gives him an entire planet and wistfully dreams about how awesome they're gonna make it.

You might be the instance he referenced! But to be clear, an old friend of mine (also trans) invented calling him "salmon fucker" and propagated it on anews until it became the massive meme it became.
