The same people who think we need to bring back real standards to academia also want to give all students a “suspend my professor” button if they don’t like how things are going
From the Oklahoma U student paper: the school is now saying it will automatically suspend faculty (with pay) in response to student complaints

Remember, when someone says they blame “porn” for something, what they mean by that is they blame the WOMEN doing the porn. It’s somehow women’s FAULT that men are behave badly.
Scott Galloway is a raging misogynist and gender essentialist, he’s Jordan Peterson without the benzo addiction
The link between sexual repression and militarism is becoming clearer by the day.

Galloway blames OnlyFans for loneliness, depression, small business closures, extremism, tyranny and *checks notes* impending societal extinction.

His solution? Mandatory national service.
Scott Galloway: OnlyFans is the billion-dollar symptom of a loneliness pandemic
The most unstable, violent societies have one thing in common: lonely young men. We are producing millions of them, writes Scott Galloway

I think it was a huge mistake to make our society so car-dependent. But man. The Discourse today is a good reminder that when it comes to roadways policy, otherwise progressive anti-car people quickly become some of the most pro-carceral, anti-civil liberties people on the planet.

So, El Fasher looks like one of the worst single event atrocities to happen this century so far, but the evidence has come in such a trickle it seems to only now be getting verified
At least 60,000 murdered in Sudanese city, which resembles ‘a slaughterhouse’

Propaganda. We thought that it was gauche and problematic to have government propaganda about public accomplishments and so people forgot about them. People consistently like the military more than ‘the government’ and you know what a large part of that is? They have an advertising budget.
I think about this, also in terms of vaccines, and really struggle with how you have a free society that doesn’t fall into this trap in one way or another. solved problems become invisible and the solutions become the source of conspiracy theories.
This seems logical but Dems solved* the whole problem of old-age health care costs in the mid-1960s and then they lost five of the next six presidential elections because by 1968 it was a solved problem and no one cared about it.

*Yes oversimplifying here and the rest of course.

How it started: In 2022, we endorsed @nateforutah.bsky.social for Utah Senate District 13. He won and showed what fresh leadership can do.

How it’s going: Nate just announced his run for Congress in UT-01. This is what building the bench looks like.

it is 100% JUST CAUSE to vaporize even a unionized worker who flings the N-word at Black customers and declares “I am a racist,” please stop embarrassing me
“Those of us on the left should be fighting to improve protections for workers of all races, and thereby for the betterment of people’s material conditions regardless of their views,” Arash Azizi argues:
Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

It’s great Kilmar Abrego Garcia is free, after so much US govt effort to violate his rights.

And it’s good the regime has bogged down, tying up some of its limited resources in this failing effort.

And good few listened to the “popularists” who said don’t talk about Abrego, immigration, or rights.

The emergence of major fissures in the ruling party is one of the most important signs that a democratic takedown is failing
BREAKING: Indiana Republicans FAILED to pass a new 9-0 congressional gerrymander after enough GOP senators sided with Dems. The GOP's 7-2 map stays in place.

Trump is trying to re-gerrymander maps nationwide. At least 11 Indiana Rs got death threats after he called for primaries—but it still failed
