sort of like you've obstructed billions of dollars of clean energy and transmission funding out of stupidity and spite?
Ever since President Trump took office, Congressional Democrats have done one thing: obstruct.

We heard this is a great place to have an open and honest dialogue, so we're here to talk about how the Democrat shutdown is undermining our country on the world stage.

Magleby - somehow, Trende's maps don't have partisan bias. that suggests screening out maps that have partisan bias - maps that will pass the partisan symmetry test.

Utah Republicans are attacking the credibility of a witness brought by Democrats after having used state money to hire a conservative activist who works for a conservative news/polling firm. Complete double standard.
Rep. Roberts questions the optics of this. Sen. Escamilla claps back that Dr. Trende has his own issues of bias.
"We are supposed to work as a legislature in a nonpartisan way for this process," she says.

Hilarious to see Utah Republicans read old tweets and cry about bias when confronted with a loss in the realm of the courts. These folks have the thinnest skin imaginable and will do anything to stack the deck in their favor and hold onto power.
Rep. Owens now hints the maps the legislature has proposed are illegal.
"You just demeaned US," Chair Sandall says, getting angry and calling him "out of order."
Rep. Owens apologizes, but says they have a "suspicion." Chair Sandall is fuming.

This Redistricting committee meeting is absolutely unhinged. This legislation has such thin skin and fragile egos. It's telling the only 2 democrats on the committee are being attacked by everyone else

Oof. The Dems need to stop pretending, based on some imaginary focus group, that there’s some common ground with Trump. The key is to fight everywhere.
You should go study Neville Chamberlain’s attempt at “common ground.” It didn’t end well for his historical reputation. Or the world.

It's unfortunate that Utah's "urban/rural" representatives won't stand up and speak out to protect our public lands from unfettered development. Fire management is important, but there are better tools at our disposal than this blunt object.

These folks are not thinking clearly. Or they're just lying. Tell your legislators that you want this decision to stand and to stop harassing Utah's reputable judiciary.
Gibson was nominated by Republican Governor Gary Herbert in 2018 and unanimously approved by a GOP-dominated Senate.
For Utah Republicans to now accuse Gibson of being a “liberal activist" because she ruled against them is “wild,” Sen. Nate Blouin told The Tribune.
