New ad dropped. Let’s go! I'm running for Congress in Utah's 1st District to take on big corporations & the billionaires. To make housing & energy more affordable, fight for Medicare for All, protect our public lands, & to build a future for all of us.
The GOP spent millions of dollars of Trump money, lied to voters & are prematurely gloating about the success of their effort to repeal a voter-backed initiative to take power away from politicians to choose their voters.

Don't let them win & steal your voice.

The Utah GOP's efforts to undermine our courts clearly has Pres. Adams rankled because he wouldn't let me explain why I don't support politicizing our lauded court system to overturn a couple decisions the supermajority disagreed with.

People are tired of the legislature playing games and of legislators like Rep. Trevor Lee using the process to make good bills turn bad. What started as a bill to allow people to register to vote while they signed up for a hunting or fishing license...

the answer is yes
SB 255, sponsored by @nateforutah.bsky.social, would create a short term task force to identify the types of housing Utah needs to reduce homelessness before the 2034 Games and what kinds of investment tools can be created to bring funding to Utah to help produce that housing.

While we averted a bit of a crisis in Utah today with the Community Renewable Energy Program nearly getting killed, the overturning of the endangerment finding leaves us in a perilous place, with Utah taking many steps to cut regulations and reduce liability for polluting industries.

During my time in the legislature, I've taken on some weighty issues, none more so than addressing gun violence in our communities. Last year, I worked with @everytown.org and other advocates to address the incredible accessibility of firearms and related accessories.

I’m proud to announce our campaign has been endorsed by @sunrisemovementutah! As we speak, the legislature is gutting environmental regulations and ignoring critical problems like the dying Great Salt Lake.

Can Utah political leaders keep their mouths shut about Olympians speaking out about unrest here at home in order to save our state from looking stupid on the global stage as we attempt to build support for an Olympics that could be marred by regressive social & environmental policy?

Stay tuned.

When you've got the Angelou and Vonnegut estates attacking you, you're probably not on the right side of history. These are American institutions being shut out of our schools because of close-minded puritans who do not represent the majority.

Thanks so much to Nate @nateforutah.bsky.social for taking the time to educate the crowd about how to track #UtPol Legislation at Le.Utah.gov. Nate is relentless in helping & supporting Utahns!

Utahns need help with housing, food & clean air, but we’re debating bills about conspiracy theories and ignoring real science while promoting junk like chemtrails. I’m glad the committee had some sense & killed this bill, because so many others are eliminating our ability to address real problems.

Republicans are pushing Project 2025 right here in Utah. SB234, promoted by conservative groups pushing model legislation around the country, disallows state environmental regulators from doing anything above the floor set by agencies in DC to address our unique environmental challenges here in UT.

Punishing law-abiding neighbors for coming to our country after their family supported US efforts overseas and seeking legal status the right way should never end up with detention. I have sat in Emran and Sajad's home, shared a meal with them, and see no threat having them in our community.

I will not be supporting legislation that reduces the already-paltry representation of the minority party in any committee. We cannot give up our voice without a fight.

This powerful legislative committee may get more GOP seats. Democrats are — mostly — OK with it.

Today we unveiled new legislation to divert $200m away from the Bear River Development, a boondoggle project that our tax dollars have been set aside to fund, to funding efforts to send water to Great Salt Lake.
