Sort of gives away the lie that they're arresting hardened criminals who are drags on society when they're setting up traps to lure in Good Samaritans
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

the very idea of gavin newsom in 2028 is preposterous. he's a throwback to the time where you could put a haircut in a suit and have him mouth platitudes while the status quo grinds on. we're so far past that. we got pedophile nazis now. lol that you want to reanimate dan quayle

I'm doubtful. I've been told by many political experts that Republicans would only consider getting rid of the filibuster if Democrats did it earlier to pass good legislation over Republican obstruction.
Thanks to Susan Collins, Rs now claim to have secured 51 votes in the Senate & will thus move into the phrase of pressuring Senators to nuke the filibuster. If this pressure campaign succeeds, their voter suppression bill, the Save America Act, becomes law. Thread. #NoOnSave

“Far beyond just saving riders money, free buses deliver a cascade of benefits, from easing traffic to promoting public safety. Just look at Boston; Chapel Hill, N.C.; Richmond, Va.; Kansas City, Mo.; and even New York itself, all of which have tried it to excellent effect.”

Trump is already at mid-30's approval. There's no path for that to improve. Any Democrat running in 2028 should be the odds-on favorite to win. The problem with Gavin Newsom is that he will govern as a Bill Clinton reactionary, kill the party's energy, and hand the country to a fascist in 2032.
i think nominating Gavin Newsom will lose the White House again for Democrats. The party's left flank will stay home again because he's an empty corporate shell. The age of Democrats punching left to appeal to the center is over and it's now a matter of if the party as a whole realizes that or not.

“Car infrastructure first” has failed—loud, polluted, and dangerous streets are the result. Build people infrastructure (sidewalks, protected lanes, safer crossings, transit priority) and we get calmer traffic and healthier communities. Newton is the latest proof.
