Note: Judge Tenheim initially ordered these memos to be filed under seal, meaning the public wouldn't have access to them.

Law Dork moved to intervene on Tuesday, asking, among other steps, for the sealing to be lifted.

The judge lifted the sealing order on Thursday.

So, the memos are now public.

I’m so grateful for people who know the law and share it clearly: the feds are not untouchable.

When federal agents violate people’s rights, states and municipalities have tools and a duty to protect their residents.
The Constitution's supremacy clause bars local interference with federal officers when they act reasonably, within the scope of their duties.

But when agents cross that line, experts said, there's an obligation to try to hold them accountable.
Local and State Police Can Investigate Federal Agents, But Rarely Do
It doesn’t happen often, but local law enforcement can arrest and charge federal agents. Legal experts say there’s a moral obligation to at least try to hold federal immigration officers accountable w...

An excellent video from a local small business owner (Rebel, Rebel) about other small business owners with "Fuck you money."

It's very true. I know some guy who owns a small sheep farm and I'm like, "How do they afford that giant farmhouse?" Ah, his wife's dad co-founded EMC and is a billionaire.

Massachusetts faces a moral test right now. We should not accept collusion with ICE at any level. Governor Healey must be clear-eyed about the cruelty and degradation being inflicted on our neighbors and refuse to be complicit.
Massachusetts is the only state run by Democrats that still partners with ICE. I dug into this and found that it’s had profound and very troubling consequences: at least 164 people funneled straight from state prisons to ICE since 2023 alone.
