The same Minister, who says in the quoted article that “There is no other right that trumps the right of a child to be protected”, also still has an active X account
On this general topic: the Minister seems very quiet about the whole Grok/CSAM generation engine debacle. Has he asked CnAM what they are doing about it or has he asked AGS if they are investigating the generation and distribution of CSAM by a company based in Ireland?

Maybe a journalist can ask?

Impunity News: Government wants to change the law so that it can avoid paying costs for breaking the law.
You have to admire their chutzpah.
Consultation now open but not for long.
Details in this Fred thread🧵#law #accesstojustice #judicialreview #CourtOversight #impunity
To make environmental litigation affordable, the current rules is that if a case is won (i.e. the law has been broken) the public authority pays the costs to correct its own mistake but if the case is lost the applicant only has to pay its own costs.

What has freedom of speech got to do with not posting on a site churning out paedophilic images
Cabinet Office Minister Baroness Anderson tells the Lords the Government will keep on using X.

"I still believe that X is an appropriate platform to use because I believe in freedom of speech..."

"It is incredibly important that there is a counter narrative on those platforms," she says.

From Word and Excel to LibreOffice: Danish ministry says goodbye to Microsoft

All employees at the Danish Ministry of Digital Affairs are to work without Microsoft. Instead, Linux and LibreOffice will be used, says the minister.
